Hi there! As you know I’m writing from the other side of the planet so I’m not that familiar with the familiar with your …place. I guess carbon-based life inhabits the area and there are humans with 2 arms and 2 legs. (sorry if it was a bad joke)
Anyway, my questions:
1) What type of enduro races do you have? Name some pls.
2) I read MXA and DirtRider (which is American) is there any good ossie off-road magazine?
3) Could you recommend a good online-ride?
Cheers,
YuriAugust 24, 2008 at 7:34 pm #107289Some answers to your questions……
1. Probably the most famous and biggest enduro race would be the Finke desert race.
Then would come the Australian safari.Followed by the Australian 4 day enduro.
2. The two top Aussie dirt bike magazines in my opinion would be Australasian dirt bike or Dirt action.
3.Originally being from Russia, I thought you would probably know were the best online rides are. Ha ha.:woohoo:August 24, 2008 at 9:41 pm #107293OMG, I wanted to say radio… LOL!!

August 25, 2008 at 12:20 pm #107365Ha! I remember reading that…and thinking…”You bastards!” Cause I couldn’t be there!
August 25, 2008 at 12:28 pm #107362yuri, that romaniacs looks awesome! might have to track down a dvd.
August 26, 2008 at 6:51 am #107366Read the article about the A4DE. Sounds like a very enjoyable race.
I would rather enter this race than RedBull KillYourself&URbike. If someone wants to spectate the Romaniacs its from sept. 13 to 17.
I was also looking at the magazines. I think I like the best the TrailBike Adventure as it shows the most of the country.

Speaking of where to go… how would you describe:
Cairns/Brisbane/Sydney/Adelide/Perth and of course your place.
If one goes to Ossie where should (s/)he go? What about smaller cities/countryside?October 15, 2008 at 8:43 am #109481Yuri,Start at my place and go from there. Have you actually got a grasp on how big Australia actually is??? I have been here a long time and have only seen a fraction of it.

Thanks boulder for the pics. I have seen some videos about riders falling in water an than everyone laughting but lol it seems to work the other way around when you have so clear creeks. Truly amazing!!
The last picture reminds me our place a bit, sand (just different color) and endless see-line. I think I could live in a desertI’m not fancy about big cities anyway
I think I will start saving money for next july/august right nowOctober 16, 2008 at 12:42 am #109492
AnonymousYuri, being English and having travelled around the world extensively with work I can honestly say that Australia is one, if not the best, country I have been to. This is further backed up by the fact that I now live here.
It has an amazing varity of culture and scenery and there is so much to see and explore. The people are very friendly and laid back and weather (by comparison to Europe of England) is excellent.
If only for a holiday, it is an awesome place to come visit. We’ll organise and OBT ride day and sort you out with a bike if you come over. how’s that sound?
