Perfect morning but we knew it was going to be a bit too hot for this ride
Started with a crew of seven keen riders
Did our first single for the day and we were well and truly warmed up by the time we hit the top
Next came Panadol hills. :sick:
Even to get to these hills was a bit of a mission due to fallen trees
We all got through eventually with CJ (our flat tyre guru) having to change a rear tyre three times.
Poor bugger had new tyres and supposably heavy tubes put on the day before.
Plenty more singles through the Prick Hill area with no dramas and back out onto a fire trail for a rest.
It was somewhere here that Tryhard pulled the pin as his battery wasn’t playing the game and it is just to hard of a ride to be kicking big bores over all day. Tim lead three of the young guns through another section with a sick hill and we older gentlemen waited up on the next ridge. :whistle: Tryhard had rejoined us so there were three of us having a yak for quite a while whilst waiting. The young ones evetually arrived and said that the track had a hell of a lot of storm damage.
We then tried to do the next single but ended up retreating as it too had been smashed by high winds. Tim and I have sort of volanteered to walk these singles with a chain saw. :sick: :pinch:
A few more singles were done on the west side then we headed south and down onto the eastern side.
Down Hitchy’s and up Whitemans. :woohoo: 👿
Whitemans is always a good challenge and I hope we got a few pics
This time Tryhard had had enough kicking and cruised back via the road. :pinch:
More singles through the prickely bushes and down Zig Zag where some keen 4WDS were having some fun. Around to Woose Hill where Tim nailed it on his second attempt.
CJ also made it, well sort of, it certainly wasn’t stylish but he got there.
Mick25 had a number of goes but it wasn’t meant to be this time.
The rest of us took the chicken track. :blush:
Very dissapointed to see a steal ramp at the next step down. :ohmy: :angry:
Around Maculatta (thankyou Nick for the help when I messed up the approach to the bog hole crossing) and back up to the ridge for a cool down ride back to the cars
All up we only did about 60kms. :blush:
But they were fun kms. 👿

Unfortunately a lot of Tims Go Pro footage was looking into the sun but there should be enough quality stuff to make a DVD

MurphGreat Ride Murph, but I had a shocker :pinch: . Drank my 3ltr camel back b4 10.am, flat battery. :S Then
Went home via Maculatta & copped flat rear tyre :angry: Too tired to change it I continued down the steps, thru the mud & back up the other side onto forest rd then finally got to the ute. Just enough energy to ride up the ramp 😆Still I loved the ride & one day I will finish one of your rides
