Yep I understand and the Superfriends are all “unavailaible during moving times too aren’t they?… typical bloody superheroes unless there’s a front page headline in it for them they’re not interested.

Why are you taking the forks out they are sweet sweet units?

I certainly know how his roost tour ended,he had to go back to work to pay for all the good times he had while he was a way.
I dropped in and found him on his first day back at work in Bourke st, Melbourne. He didn’t look all that happy at first but my visit seemed to cheer him up.

That was my hi vis jacket that Lessa makes me wear if I am near traffic as she does’t trust me to cross the road on my own.

    part 4…..thursday 1/10/2009.

    ….kissing the fishes…

i didnt do any riding thursday, the brownie points were down to a critically low level, so i took the family to see the dolphins etc at The Pet Porpoise Pool in coffs.

being the animal lover i am, im not really into fish in pools, however i know how much these people do for rehab of injured animals, be it dolphins, pelicans, turtles, seals, sea lions, just about anything.
the animals that perform the show seem quite happy to do it, albeit for food. it was quite enjoyable…..

and most importantly, sammy was over the moon :)

heres sammy feeding one of the fishes…
    IMG_1639.jpg

    one happy girlie…
    IMG_1641.jpg
i was rather close to tearing up cause i was so proud

sammy was gonna actually swim with the dolphins but declined as her knee was still trashed.
…good one moto, way to kill a girls dream     :P :P

    some tricks…

we cant remember the seals name but we wanted to take her home. she was a little cutie.

its was a totally cool day.

afterwoods, we went to the local fish co-op and got a heap stuff for dinner. i made oysters kilpatrick and some awesome SEA scallops in garlic and butter. yummmmmo :)

so with the brownie points tally back to full, i was free to get up to Mr Blue’s place tomorra morning ;)

im such a sweet talking S.O.B.

    part 5, 2/10/2009.

tour de urbanville, with a lady named Bruce :P

i was up at sparrows fart again, in the car and off to Casino to Mr Blues house. i was there at about 8.30 and it was already stinking hot. on arrival we had a coffee and a couple of smokes and packed my bike onto his ute.

wee took off heading north towards the border ranges. its very scenic country and we discussed the woes of the world in depth as we journeyed into yonder. :P it was only ruined by a couple of calls from my boss, harrassing me about a job. doesnt the dickhead realise im on holidays….

we arrived at urbanville and were met by Mick, who is a local and the “wildman” benny. nice fellas too. we kitted up and headed off. it was bloody dusty, almost like louee. it wasnt the “lush subtropical rainforests” that i had imagined as there hasnt been rain there for a while. bloody el nino, i say.

there is a wicked waterfall/pool there. its very picturesque…
    IMG_1672.jpg

on our first stop bruce looked a little dusty around the edges, he had already diced with a rock on the first track of the day and had a little dirt nap. better to get it over with early mate ;)

not long after, i rounded a corner and saw bruce half way up a hill but off the side in the scrub. it was a laugh. i think he was inspecting the differential of growth levels of lantana after a dry spell. quite the botanist is our mr blue

i was still nervy about doing myself damage while so far from home and was just cruising along. paranoid about breaking a leg and having to drive home in a cast.

we stopped for a durrie break and i heared the fellas talking about the snake tracks along the trails. soon i realised they were serious and were literally talking about the little marks snakes make as they slither…..holy shit!! i was thinking
dont worry about it, the boys replied, they will mostly get out of your way, otherwise they will stand up and have a go  f**k that i thought

we kept on cruising along, doing some wicked tracks through bush, pine plantations, over meadows and shit. there were even some cows chewing theyre crud. i hate the way cows look at you when you pass them, like “i could kick you off that noisy bloody orange horse and just drop a pooh on your head”. cows are evil in my books…i need a cattle prod attached to my bars

we came across a farmer repairing a fence. he wasnt looking real happy as bike riders had trashed his fence. it was all good though as it turned out to be Micks boss.

we soon decided to head for the cars for fuel and came across some more open tracks. i was sick of dust by this stage. and also sick of bruces rock chucking YZ. i lined him up and overtook him on a nice flat laft hander…..”well look at that i thought, there is a track under all that dust”

we diced a bit more once we hit the grassy stuff. it was grouse fun. his YZ doesnt go too bad for a yamaha :P :P

we made it back to the cars and i guzzled some water. i had drank my camelbak dry for the third time ever….and all three times happened this week. Benny had to leave soon so we didnt go back out. i was fine with that as i was starting to get another dehydration headache…(im so fit   )

we sat around for a while and Benny downloaded some footage onto his laptop….. i just tipped water down my throat.

bruce took the kato for a quick ride, and suprisingly, was impressed at how well it steered on the single tracks through the pines, even with one of the forks pissing out oil, as it had done since leaving melbourne on the trailer.

if our one eyed yamaha master was impressed by the Kato, im happy with that. he has a vast understanding of bikes, far more than me.

young mick took his YZ out for a burn. he was giving it some curry too. when he got back, it looked like the muffler was on fire, it was smoking so bad. but all was good. he took the kato out for a minute and was impressed with her. i was too knackered to ride anymore, passing up a ride on the YZ.
i wish i had of had a go now, for a comparison. but oh, well, next time ill have a crack.

we loaded up and headed back to bruces, as i had to go out to the chinese shop in whoopy for dinner. the same one the boys went to on the coffs ride a little earlier.

we said our goodbyes at bruces and i headed off, back to coffs. only to get another call from my wanker boss which turned into a heated arguement…..

i had to do my best not to let it ruin the best week id had in a long time.
now im back home and looking for a new job!!!!

big thanks go out to bruce for having me, and to benny and mick for the awesome ride. it was great. a bit of moisture would have added to the joy but you cant have it all.

it was a top day. but friggin hot, i spose you get that up on the QLD border
there was also talk of camping up there next year, something else to plan our next holiday around ;)

thanks again bruce, youre not as ugly as i expected you to be…..

    but close :P :P

You’re more than welcome young Menace, thought I was looking in a mirror when I saw you, thought “gees he’s a good looking fella, good breeding obviously, no wonder his dearest let’s him get away with all his antics”…. :P

seriously, there is talk of the whole group of Border Boyz doing an epic camping/riding do, either up on the border or at what we lovingly call “camp napalm death” riding from the beache to the great dividing and back again all bush, and nothing but.

Will keep you posted, and of course any other old Bulls that wish to partake of some easy laidback laughs, and serious riding, with a good dose of humour provided by the resident and imported clowns of off-road motorbicycling…

BTW he’s not a bad Bloke for a KTM riding Mex the big fella is, we could easily make him new southerner easy as, maybe if he’d ridden the warlock he’d be sporting a new colour too… :P

That swimming hole has a bigger sister right above it, and has been the saviour of many a hot ride Boony, it’s part of the head waters of the clarence, the biggest river on the eastern seaboard. fresh, cool and fishing too, happens to be a sacred spot with the real locals too, and they’re a great mob of people as well.

Thanks Mr Mick, like Moto and Menace I too was revered for my boyband good looks when younger (last year?) and they just got better with age…. apparently  why cover that gift to the world with fuzz?? besides when I take the skidlid off it scares the snakes and other nasty critters off, like brahamn bulls and big lizards.

The big fella can pick a good line too, and he’s right the kato has sweet sweet steering and forks, motor is still the most user friendly enjoyable around ( and never missed a beat, and while PDS has improved I still detected the signature “kick”, but far less so than even ’07 models, maybe they will get it close to right, glad you had a good time into the bargain.

Did 8 hours on sunday on the other side of the scrub Sunday Mr Menace, found some really knarly tight challenging stuff, that even the snakes think is too windy, and the goats too steep…. and yes i fell off multiple times knocking the wind right outa me.

Fester, one of them has a massive scar from a shark attack, and she’s the friendliest little mammal around, isn’t that one of the two?

Maxine isn’t the prettiest but is defineltly the most friendly.
