    Shane,

Don’t think the vibration would be an issue but i would be more inclined to keep it on yourself because in the event of a big crash at speed you may get separated from your bike and be unable to return to the bike due to injury to get the PLB.

I thought of mounting mine through the shoulder strap on my Camelback so that way if i have a crash at least it is a small reach rather than digging it out from inside a pack if i am seriously hurt.
The unit can be activated by one hand due to its small size.
Maybe packs with the belt pocket may be a good place also for easy access and better security in the event of a crash.
Any other ideas i would love to hear them.
    Great topic.
    Cheers

Actually, I’d recommend not attaching it to the camelback strap. Axel broke his shoulder with his GPS attached there I believe. It was bad luck but that is something that seems to happen, again and again!

Hoping to get an ACR unit shortly, I like the system.

Fair point. Belt pocket on pack might be the go.
I still have a couple of units left from last shipment.
Get in touch if you want one. $399 plus around $15 Express Post
I offer 30 minute tuition with every PLB sold based on REAL JOB experience including information on the rescue helicopter in your flight area.
    Have a good long weekend
    Cheers
