    Hi all,

Trying to set the rider hieght on my 07 yz450f, after unlocking the lock washer / nut I can’t seem to wind the nut down to compress the spring (just buring the nut edges) do I need a spring compressor or is there a trick I don’t know about?

    Cheers Brad.

I bought a spanner from my local bike shop especially for this job and it works a treat :)

Yeah the correct tool for job helps a lot.

If the shock is still in the bike make sure the wheel is off the ground to unload the spring as much as possible. Spray a bit of WD40 around the top and bottom of the srping and the thread to lubricate all friction points.

I’m 100kg with gear, so were is a good starting point for my suspension clickers? Mainly enduro / trail type riding / racing.

    Cheers Brad.

    Brad,
If you have the manual that comes with the bike the best place to start with is the std clicker settings then adjust from there. If you dont have the manual you would be best start at the mid-point of the clicker range.

    Cheers,

    Lefty
