Had a counter lunch at the Pub with Lessa today and heaps of guys where going past on their bikes enjoying the great weather, seeing the passing parade of bikes got my juices flowing. So when we left the pub (I had only one beer) I was keen to put some seat time in on the XR. I left Wauchope headed towards riderX’s house but went roaring past his house knowing he wouldn’t like this style of ride. I took a right hand turn into the bush, off Pembrooke road and made my way through the bush and came out on the Pacific Highway. A km or two north found me in Telegraph Point where I hit the bush again before coming out in Rollands Plains. A few km of Tar and I was near KTMBull’s place where I dropped in, only to find that KTMBull,KTMRAT and itsagas had not long left for a ride.BUGGER!!( I hope to see a ride report from one of the boys) Anyhow, a quick durrie and I was on my way again, up through Bril Bril Rd to Bellangry where I made the fun run down the Tar to Beechwood pub. Had a schooner there and was home 1.45 minutes after I left home and had done 80.7km.
Gotta love the way you can put a lot of km’s under you on a XR and do it easy.

If there are 4 more guys that what to do the 2010 version of this ride in the 2nd group, the group will be run parallel to our group but separately, that way one group cant hold up the other, both groups would stay at the same overnight location

Please PM me if you are interested, the leader the of the 2nd group would be provided with all the route locations and details, the 2nd group would leave about half an hour before my group so has not to get confused but I would be behind should they have navigation dramas

I had a similar morning. I headed up STM’s way for a ride, but when I got up their I couldn’t get him on the phone. But atleast the bike got the cob webs blown off it. It was so good to have a decent day with some sunshine.

Spewing we were not home and out enjoying the SF around here only went for a quick blast 30 odd km The Rat found a big mud hole and covered himself and his bike with mud and i was haveing a hard time not falling off lmfao we then went some new and old trails but it was a bit slopy in places we hit stupid speeds up centre ridge and made it back just in time for dusk and a few drinks a good time was had by all i think

April sounds good for me, there is nothing in my diary for April.( ShhhhhhhhI will tell Lessa I am going the week before).
Boulder, I fly out Wednesday for a week or two up north.

The 650 rates better than the 630, as it seems to handle better and not feel as top heavy as the old girl. AS far as power goes I would rate them, not all that far apart. The 650 is just in front on the power and a lot more fun and easier to ride. The seat isn’t as soft either.

Mick I wish you told me you were coming I would have waited for ya Man, we had a blast I have no ideas how far we went but it was very sloppy in places and I would have loved to see your new pig out there mate, it will be no surprise to hear I got a flat tyre again, rear this time but I did not tell Bull or Gas as it would make no difference anyway, I did not have any tools and would not change it anyways,
Bull was motoring at one stage and I wish I had a helmet cam to capture the mountain of a man crawling all over the big Kato, at one stage of the game I almost fell off laughing at his antics.
It was decided at the beginning of the ride that I would lead as Bull had the wrong gearing on and though a 3 speed was not a good idea, I settled into just waiting at each intersection and Bull would point the way.
we found a hill that was so slippery that as I was going down it I thought what excuse can I give them to try and go back the other way, lo and behold at the next hill the main track so it was soon decided to go straight back, i tried to keep traction happening but with a Moto OZ thats near impossible, once at the top I waited for the others to get up but no way was that happening, Bull and Gas and Scott were all strewn over the hill when I came back, I am sure they were cursing , But thats cool, you will all be better for it guys.

Once back on the main drag we went home via Paradise and at this stage I followed Gas for a few corners and that Gasser sounds sweet Mate

A good day was had by all and the best part is Betty Started first up this time, And I didnt drop it, but the flat tyre curse is still there, I guess I will have to work at the falling off bit

Thanks Bull, Thanks Gas, and Scotty for 3/4 of the ride anyway, pity you couldnt make the rest.
    Back to work tomorrow
Maybe come out there for a ride tomorrow instead Bull, I have MX schools for 5 days starting Friday so we should try to fit one more in before then, PM Me, No maybe just talk about it here to make the rest jealous
