October 17, 2013 at 9:06 pm #250799Hope you are doing OK Pikey and all the other Catho family’s
Heard the surf club copped it and some properties
Not confirmed.
These fires do so much damage in so little time.
I was at Catho yesterday morning and there was no sign of fires
A mate has gone home from work to be there if needed
He lives at Swansea and with the wind change to the south he has every reason to be concerned
Cheers
MurphOctober 18, 2013 at 4:05 am #250767No good this…no good at all

Help those who need it most if you can.
Even Tamworth was a blanket of smoke this morning..and there is no fires here, jeez it travels!!
Good luck to all .
Bol :woohoo:October 18, 2013 at 4:07 am #250768A nice cool day across the Hunter today,,,
But still the fires reak havoc for many :S :S :SWe have a lot of guys at work that were stranded last night and cannot get home, as well as guys that were stuck out of the area from home and have been separated from families etc
We even have one poor unfortunate bloke that ended up with his EX Wife, kids and the EX INLAWS all at his place and they are still there !!! That would suck
All the best to all still in danger or waiting for the all clear to get back into their neighbourhoods….
Must be a very worrying time for you guysOctober 18, 2013 at 4:11 am #250792Its on again not far from home today :S . The amount of helicopters in the air is amazing and that Elvis thing is soooo noisy but amazing, the bravery of all these fire fighters be it on the ground or in the air is beyond question.
Thanks to all that have rang and text wishes, people like Moose, Hatto to name a few that I don’t speak with daily but thought of us at the moment its real nice cheers everybody. Fingers crossed for everyone state wide, be safe and remember family and yourself first.
Oh and to Bollocks, PTW, Strucky Dejay and the rest of the lunatics that have rang and offered to drive down and help, love your work guys but it is all good at the moment

October 19, 2013 at 9:46 pm #250769Thanks fellas little bit late replying but our phones had still been out .We had been evacuated at about 6.30 pm it was touch and go all that night got home yesterday and the town looks like a different place ,my house is fine .Have to thank the volunteer fire fighters & police. They lost 5 house in town with some great stories and photos coming out now. I was at the big prawn checking what the fire was doing seen the biggest front heading through the valley ,poor old mate at the servo hey asked me if I think he should close up and go (was a good idea) if you have a look at the photo of the pub you can see a fire in the roof of the house next door the inside of that house was burnt out.I did see you in town that morning Murph thanks for the concern .Did not make the ride Adam the bike was still in the shed ,only had time to grab a couple of computers, good to be home everything is safe .Pikey
