I’ll write something or film something when i get a chance to try it. I have read a few times you won’t notice it’s there but when trying a bike without one it will be obvious.

Got a mate with the same bike so i will be able to do a good comparison. The only thing is his bike always has dodgy set ups around the bars. As in he’ll have a big stack and not straighten the bars back up if i ride it it feels wrong.

Another thing worth mentioning is they’ll do a a full service on them for $50,another good reason to buy local i think.

    Cheers

Looks good 2banger ;) I Have just bought a Scott’s damper and top triple clamp for my 640 and I can’t wait till it arrives. I will show some pics when I get it. I am sure that you will enjoy the improvement.

Thanx Lefty looks all comlplicated up there now ;)

The Scotts had a different feature on them than any other damper you could vary where it would work from in the sweep.Be interested to see how that works.

As previously mentioned I have purchased a BRP (Billet Racing Products) top triple clamp and Scotts steering damper kit for my KTM 640. I have had the kit for around a week and installed it today replacing the standard top triple clamp.

All i need to do is ride it and see how it goes. The Scotts damper has both High and Low speed dampening. You can also adjust how far it will dampen from centre. It will be interesting to road test and I will report on this later.

Looks like a neat fit,, not much room on the 640`s hey ???

I`m sure you will be impressed once you have ridden it and dialled it in

Yeah Eags, there isn’t much room on the 640 to fit a damper, but BRP and Scotts have done a nice job with the kit ;) I am sure that it will be a good thing eh :woohoo:

Nice work Left one, you should do it in product reviews of KTM thread, if you leave it it it will get lost in with Two Bangers question on dampers in general

    Nice work Lefty,
It looks like its meant to be there, not in the way either nestled in there. Yeah I’m still hanging out to try mine.

Im happy with mine, can always put it on another bike, one day I wouldn’t mind an adventure bike so could find a home there as well.

Look forward to reading your review Lefty, I like BRP stuff I’ve got a chain guide from them and it’s a good bit of gear.
