My brother in-law had a WR 250 and it was phat straight out of the box, the WR450 he bought after it was the most disappointing new bike I have ever ridden and on advice from a 450 owner he had the forks done and it made it such a different bike, so much better

Quote:Spoke with Chad from Chad’s off road down in melbourne today. He said that to have the DRZ done over front and back with a rear shock rebuild would be $550. with a one day turn around. Only down side is he is in Perth for the safari and wont be back until the 14th or 15thThats a really good price smurf, the springs alone are $410.00 But a bit far for me to send

My forks are at Teknik as we speak Adrian, i picked up a rear spring from them and fitted it myself today $189.00. I have heard really good things about Chads work but after going to Tekniks workshop and speaking with them i am confident that they will do good things with the drz forks. Its really good that we have so many good suspension tuners to choose from.
July 30, 2009 at 9:10 am #145879Good work Boulder.
Make sure you let us know how the ride is after refitting.
July 30, 2009 at 10:13 am #145886I spoke with another dealer in Melb today. Same deal to have the rear resprung and overhauled and forks done but could not believe the price $1600 and three day turn around. How could the price be so different. I think I’ll wait for Chad to return

July 30, 2009 at 10:31 am #145918I’d want the ride to feel like I was sitting on a padded sheepskin seat. No vibrataion no bumps and no monkey arse, but I doudt that would be possible.
