AnonymousThere does seem to be a penchant on this site for bagging out KTM’s. Ironic that Mick and TB have both just repaired their bikes back to a ridable condition. AT least TB doesn’t have to ride a borrowed DRZ anymore
Yet Ktmrat has a problem with his bike(s) and it’s all shit because it’s a KTM. Maybe you should have called the site the Honda Appreciation Forum
You should take more pride in how you ride your bike, not what you ride. And yes, I take a lot of pride in crashing and breaking my thumb because I suck bat!
In fact you all suck bat :p

What Moto? Look this is in the bull pit, so I say fark off
Difference between the examples is, Micks is crash damage, mine was a crack because I overtightened a bolt?
Dave has two KTM’s with cracked cylinder heads and blown head gaskets, look its light hearted banter, how can it be serious when Honda’s are so much better.

AnonymousHow about, noooooooooooooooo TB.
Turn on the giant laser!
December 17, 2008 at 11:38 pm #115268Hey Moto, show me one example of me dumping on you for riding a KTM!!I only ride an Honda because I have one. I couldn’t give a rat’s dinger what brand a bike is as long as it starts and goes all is good.
I’m what you would consider a brand slut.December 17, 2008 at 11:42 pm #115273
AnonymousI am too really. If I liked the feel of a Honda best I would have bought. If I could live the noise and vibration of a 2 smoke I would have a TM. If I had the money I would buy a Husaberg, although a strong consideration would given to the new Husky 310.
You just had a broken XR that I was picking on in retaliation, no having a dig at you champ. I only take the piss out of you for being old and falling of your bike doing a wheelie a few days before the christmas party :p
December 17, 2008 at 11:48 pm #115274Actually now I think about it,my son rides a Kawasaki, my Daughter is on a KTM, I am on a Honda and there are also three yamahas in the shed that the kids have grown out of. So no brand loyalty here.
I really bought the XR with a different style of riding in mind,I was going to do fire trail touring on it but I seemed to have progressed into more single trail type riding.December 17, 2008 at 11:53 pm #115275
AnonymousThey are good as an all round bike though. Especially if you want to throw some touring in too. The KTM isn’t really suited to the longer stuff and a bigger engine and taller gearig would have been nice.
I am thinking of spending some cash on my bike to get her all sorted out, but then think maybe I should sell (try) and sell it while I can’t ride it and put the money towards a new bike. The Husaberg being my first choice, closely followed by a Husky 310. I like the fact they are suppossed to carve through the bush a bit better.
As my thumb as a testament we all know I like to carve through the bush!

Well how about it? High Country ride will suit, 3 states will suit, Orange 4 day tour will have some, the Denman Pub Ride will suit.
How bout mate?December 17, 2008 at 11:54 pm #115282Moto wrote:

How much single trail will there be if we lose the Watagans, local I mean?
