Early start to the day leaving home about 6:30
Bit dusty on the drive through the forest
Crew- Dude, Wardy, Lance, Mick, Jackson, Tim and I.
The tracks were far from dusty
I struggled with traction on the very slippery black surface but it was all fun :woohoo:
We found our way out to the Teddy Bear track after doing a very long hill with whoop after whoop
Teddy bear and the hill to follow were the highlights for me :woohoo:
Jackson, Lance and Mick had trouble with the hill
Mick did get up after a few attempts
Jackson was fatigued and only made it halfway
Tim and I rode back down to check out what was going on and after some discussion it was decided we would all come back down and find another way
Tim and I rode back up and found Lance had another option around the side of the mountain which we thought we would show Jackson
I rode back down to Jackson and we rode the way Lance had gone
Just as we got to the corner at the ridge line I took off thinking Jackson was right behind me
Unfortunately he was not and after waiting at the top with the crew Mick decided to go and see where he was. Jackson had come off at a log hop before the hill and was turfed down the hill taking out a nasty looking stump. He was winded and very sore around the chest. :pinch: We waited with him until he had regained his strength and it was decided to head back to camp.
With Jackson packed up and gone we then rode back out for some more exploration
Another track which had not been used for some time was found which took us from the river back up to the ridges. This track was a bit of a challenge and we had to stop a couple of times to clear fallen timber.
Lance had issues with his rear sprocket bolts coming loose and had to ride the rest of the ride with only 5 bolts and an 8mm nut stolen from an old blinker mount.
Found our way to the northern side of mountain where there was a bit more good stuff to get amongst :woohoo:
Thanks for leading, Dude and thanks for doing the sweep duties, Mick
Had fun
Cheers

Glad you managed to get one or two of Wardy.
I was beginning to think he was camera shy
Thanks again for the ride
Just called Jackson and he said he fine.

He said it hurt when he lifted anything so maybe light duties for a week or so.
Good to hear he is OK.Cheers

A lot of open stuff like ……roads that lack excitement (too well maintained),
next time more time.
