Now before I start this, this rant is about people on two other forums, much much larger than this one and the people I refer to are NOT members here, and if they ever become members here, I will remind them of their stupidity

Have you ever been involved in a reali life conversation with someone, when some way into the conversation you realise they are incredibly stupid, but are completely unaware of it?, usually you understand that to remain in their company will cost you IQ points?

Then you get onto some internet forums and because veryone on the internet knows everything, you realise just how many of these dtupid people are actually loose in society and running freely among us…

Then you are having a decent conversation on a forum about something sorta interesting and swapping ideas, and along comes the stupid people, they have no ida to the technicalities of which you are discussing, they have no history of beig interested, yet they delight in telling you “HOW IT IS”.

SO like the man says, in real life we can see them and recognise them seconds after they open their mouths, unfortunately over the internet we cannot either recognise them or exclude them from othrwise meaningful exchange of ideas.

So do you blokes reckon we should ask the software developers to introduce a “stupid filter” to get entry into some sites?

Try moderating a forum and then you will really see the true depth of stupidity in the internet society. Nine times out of ten, ol mate is half full of piss when they make the offending post. Also the ability to hide behind a virtual facade will make some people say the most idiotic things (been known to do it myself, on more than one occasion :laugh: ) as I have seen said before, one should not say something on a forum, that you would not be prepared to back up face to face at the pub.I am usually online by 6am of a morning doing my best to clean up the offending posts and utter dribble before the majority of our punters log on, same goes at other forums I would imagine, so you only see a small proportion of the “stupid posts by stupid people”.

The best way to deal with it Bruce, is think to yourself “Dickhead” and carry on as you where. :laugh:

I worked for over 22years as an Attitude reajuster at many hotels across sydney.
And after about 5 years of all the fri and sat night crap.
An Imfamous hotel owner told me in a very low tone.

What got my goat was a supposedly top-notch yankee tuner telling me in a technology discussion over at TT, that DI would NOT make any difference to a 2T and besides no technology exists to make it work and we HAD to have a powerpipe for a 2T to make decent power…

So then half the participants took this as gospel and shut their minds off, only myself and a couple of other Aussies and a few yanks continued, down the DI discussion path, all the while the Gospel singers are telling us we are wrong

HELLO DIKHEADS, Evinrude outboards, SnoMobiles, Umm Orbitals Design of EARLY 90s, and the hundreds of other examples already in production..

I bloodywell hate idiots who think they have an IQ when they influence things like this, and it seems everytime I try to glean info from across the internet some wanka pops up who thinks because he got a pass mark in 6th grade or he was the smartest in his family (where Mum & Dad are cousins) he is instantly the GUru of everything and detracts from the progress we are making and you just shake you virtual head and walk away.

And it’s not just limited to Yanks, we have enough here to keep us down as well.

Look over at DBW the last few months for clarification, not all, but it is becoming overrun by “instant-experts” who saw a dirtbike once and are on their 2nd at 35 yr old, telling us of “Great New things” like reverse cylinders are so so new-age….. :huh:

As far as the 2 min know it all’s, well I know stuff all and I have spent 10’s of thousands over more years that I care to remember doing just about all that a plonker in our sport can do and still learn everyday, everyday.

hey BeeCee ask em why do the Trials bikes that are EFI 2T do not have an expansion chamber.. albeit they are not DI ( to the best of my knowledge and i should have searched some specs :blush:)

did you read the KTM DI 2T mag article on TT, it was back in 07 they had confirmed they are developing a DI 2T…

you are not alone Bruce, it happens on an Aus. Ford forum too. one guy is supposed to be a mechanic and hates being corrected my back yard hacks like myself.

Yeah I know, what got me was myself a young Aussie from WA and richard cannon (TTs YZ250 guru) were talking about the Bombadier (old name eh TB? they own half the snomoile and outboard concerns now including Evinrude) 600 snomobile with DI & Trapping valve that currently SPANKS anything else on the powder for everything, power, torque, torque curve, acceleration, emissions and how we can’t wait for someone to introduce some of this onto dirtbikes and how it would be feasible to the old Can-Am to be ressurrected and cool stuff like that.

And Whammo in walk the naysaying wankas who know everything about everything….
