well here comes my virgin ride report
It will only be short due to circumstances t
hat will follow
And the fact i can’t get photos or vids on here yet?
     :angry:In Advance would like to apologise for Bad Grammar and spelling
its one long sentence and i’m not proof reading it eitherIts not a resume so deal with it
There were only 3 people start the ride so tis will limit the amount of people as to which i may offend with my sarcasm and humour which can stray at times (so i am told).
Sunny Corner
Well Jason and myself managed to find a tour guide for the day as neither of us have been there before it was Mal5.1 (who apparrently doesn’t sleep)
so we arrived to find Mal fresh as a daisy after night shift and rearing to goWe boarded our trusty steeds Mine fresh from workshop , mal on the husky and jasond on the ktm that was fresher than him at both the start of the day and at the end?
Off we trotted Mal setting a good pace followed by myself who was struggling with my knew found power that seen me have the first flop over on a slippery corner in the pines single trail and jason who i thought didn’t see my off but apparrently did was following up the rear
Anyway off we go though afew fire trails here and there head up onto a ridge we leads off into native bush i looked behind there was jason up my rear, down the hill
Mal darts off onto a native single line and i follow looked behind an d no jas so waited …………………………..waited ……………………..betta go back and have a look
up over the rise heres the ktm on the deck helmet down a bit further and jason sitting on a rock………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..well thats where the riding stopped for the day.Mal turned up and after we both stopped laughing
5 mins later
we asked if he was ok
and he wasn’t he had a sore little finger
which mal might show a photo of cause i can’y work p bucket
after we assessed the sore little finger
we assesed the other hand where the thumb was sore
and he was whinging and moaning and groaning while mal and i were still laughing
and struggling with his pain
anyway further assessment showed a “sore shoulder “
So we found some pain Killers in the KTM repair kit( First aid Kit for those who didn’t go on the Vic high ctry ride)
popped afew of them in him and decided we should go and get my ute as he couldn’t ride or be doubled
still laughing as we rode off we found an accessible route for ute and returned to evacuate
upon return he was still alive possibly in little more pain
a few more sniggers from myself
loaded him and bike on
anyway said hooray to mal and off we travelled to Bathurst Base Hospital
emergency took him in
they let me and his wife in a little later to see him who buy the way was quite amused with the situation
not as much as i was still
off for xrays which took forever all we could see was the DO NOT ENTER XRAYS IN PROGRESS sign flashing on and off
a while later he was wheeled out glowing red nearly
back to casualty for the verdict
Dislocated little Finger
Dislocated between the thumb and wrist somewhere
And a Badly dislocated Shoulder
The xray dood said in plain terms it was a loooooong way from Home (shoulder that is )and a bruised ego
so more morphine was added to stop him moaning and we were shipped out so they could do there bit
they wouldn’t let us stay too watchanyway thats as far as i got
left him there
Thanks Mal for that short guided ride hopefully the next one will be longer
Thats it a 10 minute bullshit story about a 20 minute ride

He rckons he was dodging a wallaby then the front found a Smallish but extremely square floater and high sided it probably would have hurt

Thanks for the ride Bod and Jase. I was good while it lasted.
The Wallaby crossing happened at the top of the Five Stages track where it is very rocky and none of the rocks are in the ground, they just float around on the track. We were coming down from the top to head into a single and Jase bit the dirt HARD. I have a photo of where his helmet hit the ground.
I back tracked all the singles on the way back to car and looked for a few more. Took a nice pic of the Husky at the top of a hill. I’ll post them tomorrow sometime. I did 30km for the morning and was home in bed by 1:30pm.
Thanks again Bob.
You’ll need to upload your video to youtube and post the link.
If you want to email me your photos, I’ll post them for you.

December 21, 2009 at 8:24 am #165858Here is a few photos I took of the ride. Mainly of Jason and Rescue Bob.
Jason little dislocated finger.
The impact zone
Bob to the rescue.
Husky on the way back to the ute.
December 21, 2009 at 8:52 am #165835Rather picturesque photos of the husky there mal
Would have looked a bit better with a blue one therei’m a bit dissapointed he possibly could have driven himself to the hospital and i could have rode on???
The photo of where his head hit doesn’t really do it justice it was rather gouged out for a hard rd.
Looking forward to these Malmaniac outings
Where do these Murphbergs take place quite interested in them too, so long as i’m not the only one on the ground and i don’t have to drive to broome to go on one
cheers
BobDecember 21, 2009 at 8:59 am #165962Murphbergs are held usually at the south end of the Watagans. I’m heading there after xmas sometime. I’ll let you know. Murph will post the ride anyway when we work out a date.
How’s Jase coming along. Stopped moaning and groaning yet.
December 21, 2009 at 9:05 am #165836How long does it take to get to the watagans from here/there ???
Hes always moaning about something thats why i was giving it to him
