Decided I needed to write something cause I felt sad that nothing had been posteed since I last sat here and checked obt at 930 am. Just noticed eags beat me to the punch but anyways…..
trailraider and I met a mutual mate up there in the fog bout sevenish lot of people, quick sign in this year maybe because no scrutineering this year? First bikes away 730, tr had organicamused to do a loop with oldgirl so by the time my mutual casual acquaintance had asked wat tire pressures I was running ( he always asks this very same thing to make me feel all special and knowledgeable I think  ) then borrowed my tyre gauge which was tucked into the bottom of my camelbach which I was wearing ( extra special now) then do I have a pump in my toolbox that’s packed up in the truck ( very very $£€*%%*¥|§&?%% special now  ) was we’ll after 8 when the ttr purred thru the south checkpoint.
The rest will follow shortly…. Was just trying to kill ten mins while I was in the small room but now I can’t feel my legs….. 😆
September 22, 2013 at 5:57 am #249995Ok lots of previously used singles some new ones tied together with some steep Rocky firetrails it was a well arrowed 80kms really good fun. Had some lunch when we got back woke tr up from his nana nap then hit the north loop. Was quite a bit more difficult the hard sections were harder though the ttr and xr had them covered… Just. One very long very very rocky uphill was littered with bikes and redfaced riders saying some quite rude words :silly: helped out there for a while then got into some heavy powdered up tight singles in the forest. When u could see the silt it was about a foot deep…. difficult at first but really challenging and fun once you got a rhythm. Was about twenty mins of hanging the chain guide or footpeg up in most ruts if you got it wrong then much horn beeping and orange bikes revving whilst they patiently waited
Was another 80odd kms mostly chasing tr’s recently reengineered xr250 and waiting for his aforementioned acquaintance
ha then pack bikes and gear and wander down for the prize draw and some story telling 😆
Great day big thanx to Central Tablelands mcc for organising the day and mebbe next year I will need to use the spare tiedowns we always pack. Cheers
September 23, 2013 at 10:15 pm #249996Nice one Tugboat, I sure there would have been a few OBTer’s up there but has been very quite on Reports. I had planned on going but work commitment changed my plans. Instead a few of us went up on Wednesday and followed the coarse. Worked out a blessing in disguise as they had 40mm of rain at Sunny Corner on the Monday which improved conditions greatly.
Some video from our Wednesday ride.
September 23, 2013 at 10:57 pm #249997Hey Tugboat, you must type about as fast as I do

Had a top day as usual at Sunny corner will certainly be back next yearOctober 1, 2013 at 10:45 am #249999Thought I would give this a bump as I saw the post from “not from highway use”. I camped up there on the Saturday night with old girl. Was alot fun, first time up there ….we did a few smaller loops on the Saturday and then we went our own ways on the main loop on the Sunday. The tracks were great and I will definitely be back up there next. Was nice to briefly meet trailrider.
