Turn up sat morning for Scrutineering………………….which is? usually performed with a latex glove… to prune the dags from your exhaust, and check out your overmilked nipples
Noise test………….stuff my muffler with steel wool and weld a dodgy baffle in to last 5 min or do you reckon it will pass (anyone who has heard my bike) just stay off the Beans for a few days before mate
Riding is for 6 hours or 4 hours if your a guru / day

You have to join a club and then get a licence. Clubs are usually around $40 for the year and a full licence is around $280 for the year. Not sure if you can get a day licence for the state rounds. KTM_Rules will be able to answer that. Good info HEREI send my entry form in
Yes you do.Turn up sat morning for Scrutineering………………….which is?
Full check of bike for race worthyness. They check things like spokes, chain tension/tightness, brake lever operation, throttle returns freely, lights work and some other stuff. If your bikes in good nic you’ll be ok.Noise test………….stuff my muffler with steel wool and weld a dodgy baffle in to last 5 min or do you reckon it will pass (anyone who has heard my bike)
If you’re really concerned about noise of your bike, I may be able to get hold of a dB meter to check it for you. If you think it may be to loud then it probably is. WRs have a history of being loud.Riding is for 6 hours or 4 hours if your a guru / day
Yep you will probably be on the bike for 6 hours.obviously a timed event
Yes using time cards I guess. I’ll explain it (the best I can) in another post if you like. Can u have a pit crew or do you have to fix your own bike at refueling
Your pit crew can only change fluids like fuel, radiator fluid and oil. They can pass you tools but I believe you have to work on your own bike.wtf is a enviromat?
Oil absorbent mats to catch any fluids that full from your bike. Environmental stuff mate, everyones into it these days.what can u share with other riders I’m a caring sharing kinda guy(ie pit crew)
Yes you can share pit crews/riders. You can have one pit person helping as many riders as you want.do you do 5 hours riding in stages or at once(3.5 hrs if your rocket or MAL)
It has to do with the time card. You have a time to be at the next control. If you get to the service area (which is usually just before the control) early then you get a rest. If you just make it with a couple of minutes then it’s a refuel and off you again.Thats a start i’ll think off more
Ask away mate, I’m sure all the gun racers know heaps more than me.Bob
Hope this helps mate.
February 7, 2011 at 11:17 am #196022Riggs and I are interested.
I definitely wouldn’t be riding but more than happy to help out. Whether it’s as part of the running of the event (KTM_Rules feel free to PM me about this) or as pit crew – I think I could manage to top up fluids and pass tools  You’ll have to ask Riggs about sharing me though, lol
Cheers,
Cathi
February 14, 2011 at 6:48 pm #196027Hi Cathi,
Sorry about not getting back to you (I have been busy doing some real work). Yes, we are always looking for help, that would be great. I have sent you a PM.
If anybody else wants to help out on that weekend, please pm me your contact details and which days (hopefully both) you can help out. It’s a great way to get up close to all the excitment and maybe even have a chat with Toby Price or Jarrod Bewley. You have to be over 16 though.
Cheers
Chris
