Had a great ride yesterday with Capt.Furious, Twobanger, sb_250y and Bob. It was light rain, lots of wind and being winter it was rather cold too. Twobanger was there early getting in a few loops before the rest of us turned up.

We started with a quick few singles to warm up. With all the rain we’ve had it made these tracks very slippery and Catp.furious was having issues with his front end. That fact that the forks leak more oil than a BP oil well and the front tyre would be better suited to road racing may have added to early fatigue  . He pushed on through the next hill and few more singles and then in the rain said he was done. So we bid farewell to the capt. Sorry to bash you up mate, I just kept finding tracks to link up to other tracks. :(

So with Capt.Furious off getting himself lost on the way home 😆 , we headed off to find some more tracks. What started as a grade 2 – 3 kind of turn into a 3 – 4. I wanted to find another track to link to up and Twobanger knew which one it was (sort of). We ended up on a steep rocky uphill single and then after a bit of fire trail we went down this very steep rocky hill that had the arse fully puckered  . After this we hit the normal tracks and headed back to the cars for a snack and refuel. I think we’d done about 20km and I’d used 5L of fuel.

After lunch we headed to a different area and picked up some singles. Bob was on fire now and smashing his way thought the tracks pushing me all the way :woohoo: . I lost the start of one track and we went around in circles for a while. When we stopped sb_250y was congratulating Bob for staying on his bike when it was trying to eject him  . We asked Bob how his suspension was setup and he said “I just ride it and hang on. I’ve never touched the suspension”. So we slowed the rebound a few clicks and sb said the pogo show was over. We did some nice tight fire trails and a few more singles and then headed back to the cars on the open stuff.

Thanks for coming for a ride guys I had a great day. Sorry for bashing you up early Capt.

Didn’t take many photos. To busy gas bagging and riding.

Thanks Mal, great day even though it was extremely wet.

Good to ride some new trails, did you make us ride in circles so we could never find them again?

Spent the afternoon cleaning Sunny Corner from my bike.

I could say that sb but medogrocket would blast me over it as he knows if I close my eyes, turn around once, and open them I’M LOST  . I knew where we were and how to get back to the cars but bugger me if I could find that track.

Glad you had a good day maye. ;)

Thanks Mal, and thanks to Stu for coming back to look for me. I had a deadset shocker.

I sooked out pretty early,,,,,,,,,,,, and then promplty spent the next hour riding towards Bathurst :P

Talk about getting arsed about with my directions. I rode past the turn I was meant to take at least 4 times.

You will be happy to know I took the shitty weather with me. Man it was cold the hour I spent riding in circles.

Keen to do it again though ;)

Thanks again Mal for leading us around some top tracks.

Been a while off the husky so had to get out there early and get back into it,which was lucky as the old banger didnt want to start.

Was good to catch up with some old bulls Rod and SB and Bob who i hadn’t met before, nice wheelstands by the way mate.

Plenty slippery s/t under those pines which considering we did at the end of the day when a bit tired didn’t have any stacks. Could hear Bobs 450 pushing me hard through the pines. But the “viper” handled excellent in the slosh, climbs, singles can’t really fault it at this stage, and its got a tough snake on the side wall

Gotta give Mal a big thanks for clearing all the roos off the track for us,one run-in had him swerve left locked up then right to miss a pair would have looked good on a helmet cam.

A top day out and yep took some cleaning and had 10 mm of mud on my watch,so plenty of roost.

    cheers.
