Thanks all for a fantastic weekend. No dramas that couldn’t be overcome. Great to see some new faces as well as some old and I too am already looking forward to the next one. Sunny Corner trail bike rally will be next for me I’d say.
Sorry I had to bail Sunday morning but i was there in spirit.

August 8, 2011 at 6:33 pm #206583GDay lads,
Bloody unreal weekend had by all, great photos Two banger and Clarky and had some good dices through the trails over the weekend.
Hats off to Galey for leading us through some prime riding areas and creek crossings, everyone did well also on the sunday with the wet conditions. Also great move bringing the complete BBQ,worked a treat.
Credit to Clarky for lending Axel his sprocket and kept him going and also making the weekend happen.
Look forward to the next one already.
Cheers MartyAugust 8, 2011 at 6:34 pm #206638Yep, great ride report. It is good to look at ride reports and spot places you recognise from past rides.
Like the pic below, the exact spot that Lefty’s avatar pic was taken.
August 8, 2011 at 6:59 pm #206640Nice looking ride fella’s.
Top reporting too. :cheer:
Axel, we all have days like that. I hate coming off in front of the camera man.
Cheers
MurphAugust 8, 2011 at 8:43 pm #206641Murph -That may be so but it’s funny how you can remember everyone else’s crashes but never your own until you see the proof. That greasy 4WD track was wide but damn it was slimy. There were some beetroot faces on that hill on Sunday. I had 4 goes at the f&^%er and finally crawled up the last 3m that alluded me. Good effort to all the other blokes who gave it their best. Galey and Marty found it trivial enough to ride everyone elses bike up there for them, on the back wheel! That’s what you get for pro/expert riders.
Mick – I think that spot was where NickJ and some others felt the need to have a lie down during the birthday ride.August 8, 2011 at 8:50 pm #206658Axel ,I learnt all my riding skills from Mal5.1 and Medogrocket. Without them I would be nothing. :silly: Actually by watching what you were doing I just did the opposite.
Medog , yes I am doing the rally and so should more OB’s if they can.August 8, 2011 at 9:48 pm #206595medogrocket wrote:sorry i missed you blokes saturday night for a beer, was helping the wife complete her census deliveries, looks like you guy’s had just a small bit of fun, i will be in for the next prescription and on the bike as well, are you doing the Sunny Corner rally GaleyFamily first mate.
You are well and truly overdue for a Sunny Corner dosage.
Top fun in the Sunny Corner loam.

Pauly cooked up a storm and the way he carefully turned those steaks and flattened the rissoles has taught me to respect my meat more  .The quickshades were a blessing as was Clarky donating his front sprocket and Pauly towing Axel back to camp with the GPS leading the way. I was glad that the hold up was bike related and not injury related.
More from Galey later.REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED. THREE MONTHLY INTERVALS!
The drugs I’m on might not last that long
Happy to have had 6 hrs in of the weekend
looks like everyone had a great time including me
I love the way Galey Fills the Day in …………..there might have been ….5 more minutes of daylight left on sat …… Awesome :woohoo:

Well sitting at the top of the hills looking down it was easy enough!
Cheers Rocket, great to have you along ,you ride that 300 awesome and smash your way through the single even with the downed trees.
Bob,glad you could squeeze in some medicinal relief on Saturday. I did see you rolling into camp clutching your chest. I thought the ride must have stuffed you but it seems Marty 400 strikes again with a well placed rock. I think a hazard sign should be placed on Marty’s back for warning. As for riding till dark, you can drink in the dark so why not ride as much as possible!
August 9, 2011 at 12:09 am #206572Was talking up the cover shot i got, so bodgied up this for you Galey…………..
