Well we ended finishing work mid morning, it’s amazing how efficiently you can work when a ride depends upon it
We parked at Marys camp and headed out towards Capertee as Merv missed (read piked out) the birthday ride and wanted to know what he missed.
We found our way down to the river as I slowly got used to riding Sam’s KTM 250 EXC-F :S

I finally started to get a flow going when we had our first crossing. Merv konked out 3/4 of the way through luckily next to the bank so he only got one foot wet

It took a bit to get it going but persistence paid off

We wound our way up the other side but must have taken a wrong turn and ended up on the tar heading towards Cullen Bullen  Anyway we headed to Capertee to find the way of the birthday ride
We lost count of how many times we ended up crossing the river as we took several wrong turns in the camping area

We found a couple of good tracks up hills then down the other side only to be back at the river
Anway we finally found the pinnicle track and made our way back towards the cars :cheer:
By this time I had Sam’s bike dialled in and really had some fun climbing back up to the hill tops. My timing on the erosion mounds was much improved :woohoo:
Only dropped his bike twice, once closing a gate and once 200 metres from the car, I’m not sure where the ground went but it sure wasn’t under my feet
Thanks to Merv for the ride and I may be able to handle Galeys grade 4 now
Adam.
