Looks really good Eagle nice Job. You can buy little rubber boot to go on those switches. I have them on my boat and they keep the water out really well, also from Bias. We could have done with them grip heaters last weekend mate.:S

I tried my grip warmers out yesterday.

I had concerns that the bike may not produce enough power to charge the battery and run all the accessories. Note: our nx has no kick starter

With the battery not fully charged, we went for a 40min ride with the heaters on. Very toasty, actually high is too hot. When I got home I put the bike battery on the trickle charger. I checked after half an hour and the battery was charged.

what should i read from this?

Racy wants some now for her ttr

It means your battery charger works thats all it means

They can be run on a bike without a battery so with that in mind it will be fine, your battery only starts your bike, the power to maintain lights and provide spark come from your stator, like a car, the battery starts it, the alternator charges the battery, powers the heater lights radio etc until you have to many accessories drawing power and then it dips into the battery

They dont draw enough power to have your stator over worked and flatten the battery because the stator cant keep up. If you think about it, how would / could they sell a kit that flattened everyones batteries or even work on bikes without batteries?

Its all good champo buy some for tracy (she could have had some with her gift vochour if someone didnt get his goggles lol) and enjoy guys

    thanks tb

    re tacy’s ttr
when we first bought it. the battery would go flat very quickly (again no kickstater). the bike came into australia without lights and other adr stuff. after taking it back to yamaha too many times. yamaha finally put a better charging system into it.

now it seems fine. and yamaha australia now boasts that the new models have a new upgraed charging system. for extra fun!!! extra fun because the bike starts again after 40mins now.

so hence my concerns. but know relieved.

    thanks tb, chris and suttos

    p.s.

with the shrink tubing over the bar, the grips seems to heat and cool at the same rate. much better than i expected.

Getting ready to put mine on. I have made a bracket for the switch and all ready to go, but could someone advise as to the type of heat you use on your heat shrink tube mainly on the bars. I have used a lighter in the past but the tubing went all out of shape and wrinkled.

    cheers
