Over the weekend I left my comfort zone for a trip to the big smoke. Whilst I was in Sydney I made the effort to take a run out to Penrith to have a look at Sutto’s store. What a store !!!!! What a selection!! What a great crew!!!
My kids were in the need of some new riding gear as they had all but grown out of the last lot,so we had a bit of a shop up at Sutto’s.
Two pairs of FOX Boots
A complete Thor ride outfit.
Two sets of Thor Goggles
A set of gloves
A set of knee guards.Total; $900 retail. :S
I WAS HAVING A CORONARY and a credit card melt down…Much to TB’s delight
Both him and Lessa where calling me a tight arse.
Then Mal got to work and worked out a wicked OBT discount !!! He slashed $135 dollars off the price!!
Thanks Sutto’s…….I’ll be back!!!!
That discount more than paid for my fuel to Sydney and back!!!!!!February 24, 2010 at 2:01 am #171788might have to make a run down the f3 as well.
riding up frying pan on the weekend just about destroyed my gear. must have shrunk and deteriated in the robe over the summer monthsFebruary 24, 2010 at 2:06 am #171798Well worth the drive!!! All the gear is the new 2010 gear too, which is important to a 12 year old!! The prices I paid at Sutto’s is what you would expect to pay on run out stock from last year.
February 24, 2010 at 2:40 am #171802Your welcome Mick, oh wait I didnt get a thanks, ringing up organising Mal, giving you directions, meeting you there, introducing you to all concerned, making sure you got looked after, giving you directions to the servo, directions to the freeway and agreeing to bring the rest of your stuff up next week doesnt deserve a thanks does it
No, no thanks at all
Lets see if the stuff I am supposed to bring up turns up

February 24, 2010 at 2:49 am #171808The thread was a thanks to Sutto’s and a heads up on how they will look after us Old Bulls.
And as for you TB.
The GPS would have got me there.
Mal woulda looked after me anyhow.
Directions to the servo?? That was across the road,I may be from Wauchope but I am not blind. :blink:I didn’t think I needed to thank you, as you know what goes around comes around with me.Otherwise you wouldn’t do it. Besides, you’ll get your thanks soon enough.

I no longer buy my gear from Ballards, as Suttos have won me as far as service and price goes. Just ring them and ask for Mal.
Click on their ad at the top of every page and check out their website for details and the products they carry.
AND TELL HIM YOU ARE AN OLD BULL!!!
February 24, 2010 at 4:59 am #171790Hi Guys,
I am glad to see/hear Happy customers! Normally from a retail side we only here grumbles not the good things that go on, so thank you all for the kind words.
BUT if you do have a problem I like to hear about it so I may be able to fix the issue from my end whether its my staff acting up or what ever? If you think I need to know about please let me know so I can build a better wheel, so to speak.
Best Regards
Sutto
ps. Not trying to sabotage the thread but I would like feedback on
1/ Do I do a paper catalogue again like we did years ago. (Some like to sit on the bomber away from the misses and check out catalogues)
or
2/Revamp our website bigger and better so OLD BULL members (and others) can simply purchase online and have your gear shipped to you.
ThanksFebruary 24, 2010 at 5:03 am #171791From my eyes Chris, things are fine the way they are mate
The website is ok, but I normally just ring & speak to Mal or whoever is there & have always had the best possible service, even when they haven`t had the part in stock, they still find it & quick
Thax again for the support of the site mate & hope to see you & the guys on some more rides :woohoo:
February 24, 2010 at 5:06 am #171823Both Sutto, do both in your spare time
What about my full time sales gig, company XR8, phone etc whens that turn up   then I wont get in trouble for being late of you again
Chris there are other threads here thanking you guys and dont worry if there is a problem we will tell you.
I reckon the web site needs fixing big time which is a major job in itself, then there is keeping it updated. Just my thoughts although I would rather deal with a sales person when actually ordering again just me

February 24, 2010 at 5:18 am #171826Hi Chris I came in with my brother a few months back and bought some new boots and other acc. I got my brother (Gary from BMBC) to chase up what I needed as your web site didn’t help much at all. I live on the NSW north coast so maybe a 1800 number might be a worthwhile investment for you. I too was amased by the size of your new shop compared to the one you had when I lived in Sydney. Back then you where at correen ave and Bear was one of your salesmen. What ever happend to Bear?
February 24, 2010 at 5:23 am #171827I do like the online cattle dog – ballard’s is a pain to browse because you browse online and it jams up which I believe and a source of frustration from many as I’ve heard. It’s only my 2c but I reckon if you did something like a “Feb 2010 cattle dog.pdf” and had that available for download I reckon you’d kill it. From that you could either keep it as a site download or put it on a mailing list. I work in an open office and don’t like calling up all the time so it’s handy being able to browse the current lot of goods. It also means I can print it out and read it when I’m…. yeah when I go somewhere quiet and alone to read  then I can circle bits and leave it around for the missus to find for hints
Sites like OBT and those other mugs could even link it in a sticky for users to look to for the latest catalogue
February 24, 2010 at 5:25 am #171828I am all for the phone in order system myself and if I need to I can look at the website with Sutto on the phone helping me.
Works a treat.I think a paper cataloge would be nice because I would have something good to read on the thunder box, it could drum up business if it comes with a biking magazine purchase (like Ballards) and, AND, it could be a good excuse to go to some of the big organised rides on business – you know PR work – – handing out catalogs, maybe a mobile bike shop at the same time?
Hint: this year I am doing the Kowen Forest ride Sutto :cheer: it’s a good one.
