Both Sutto, do both in your spare time :P

What about my full time sales gig, company XR8, phone etc whens that turn up   then I wont get in trouble for being late of you again

Chris there are other threads here thanking you guys and dont worry if there is a problem we will tell you.

I reckon the web site needs fixing big time which is a major job in itself, then there is keeping it updated. Just my thoughts although I would rather deal with a sales person when actually ordering again just me :)

    TB

Thats what I was geting at too TB, Website I would imagine would take a tonne of time to keep updated etc etc I think Ballards have the same prob with their online catalogue
The website gives an overall feel for what they have in stock, but if you don`t pick up the blower & actually ask, you just might miss out on a bargain as well as waste more time searching for what you want

I am now sold on Suttos for my purchases anyway & also prefer the verbal communication side of the transactions. Always have a little laugh with Mal about TB`s latest goings on as well  :P Makes it a more personal thing in my eyes :)

A catalogue would be the go, as you can leave it on the bench with something descretely circled leading up to your birthday or Xmas and hope that someone gets the hint.

Although I will admit I look through Ballards glossy broucure and then ring you guys.

I have spoken with Sutto many a time regarding sending us a monthly specials e mail, bit of writing couple of photos and I will do a monthly deal haven’t I Chris

So to maintain my sale figures I have to take my own camera in there and organise it myself

What about the latest couple of deals

    Hour Meters

    Tyres

    Muc-Off

The rest are in the sponsor deals thread

yeah i like the idea of a catalog aswell but it is’nt super important. just nice and handy to have around and good advertising for the owners i reckon. me and my oldest son love flicking through it cause there is so much good stuff out there these days. I’ll give suttos a go next time i wanna place an order though cause it good to spread it around a bit too. I know TB you were promoting those tyres from Suttos which where a good deal but i hate changin the bastards (backwheel) so i just get them locally and get em to put them on at the same time.

    Hi Guys,
I am glad to see/hear Happy customers! Normally from a retail side we only here grumbles not the good things that go on, so thank you all for the kind words.
BUT if you do have a problem I like to hear about it so I may be able to fix the issue from my end whether its my staff acting up or what ever? If you think I need to know about please let me know so I can build a better wheel, so to speak.
    Best Regards
    Sutto
ps. Not trying to sabotage the thread but I would like feedback on
1/ Do I do a paper catalogue again like we did years ago. (Some like to sit on the bomber away from the misses and check out catalogues)
    or
2/Revamp our website bigger and better so OLD BULL members (and others) can simply purchase online and have your gear shipped to you.
    Thanks

i like option two as i buy all my genuin ktm parts online and find it a lot better so why not with the rest

Chris, in my humble multi-million dollar enterprise dealings   , I think a great place to start would be whip up a catalogue, don’t go to the expense of printing it but rather have it as a download on your website as a PDF, that way people can download it and print it off themselves, 99% of people probably have access to a colour printer at work etc… Or you can just get a colour laser printer (I know where theres one going cheap  ) and you could print off a couple of copies as you need them. Just my thoughts!

I can put you in touch with photographers and graphic designers if need be.

    Cheers
    Chris.

I do like the online cattle dog – ballard’s is a pain to browse because you browse online and it jams up which I believe and a source of frustration from many as I’ve heard. It’s only my 2c but I reckon if you did something like a “Feb 2010 cattle dog.pdf” and had that available for download I reckon you’d kill it. From that you could either keep it as a site download or put it on a mailing list. I work in an open office and don’t like calling up all the time so it’s handy being able to browse the current lot of goods. It also means I can print it out and read it when I’m…. yeah when I go somewhere quiet and alone to read  then I can circle bits and leave it around for the missus to find for hints :D

Sites like OBT and those other mugs could even link it in a sticky for users to look to for the latest catalogue B)

To clarify, I’m under 30 so when I say mailing list I mean email 😆 Chuck a subscribe to link next to the download and people can have the cattle dog emailed when it’s available.

Over the weekend I left my comfort zone for a trip to the big smoke. Whilst I was in Sydney I made the effort to take a run out to Penrith to have a look at Sutto’s store. What a store !!!!! What a selection!! What a great crew!!!

My kids were in the need of some new riding gear as they had all but grown out of the last lot,so we had a bit of a shop up at Sutto’s.

    Two pairs of FOX Boots
    A complete Thor ride outfit.
    Two sets of Thor Goggles
    A set of gloves
    A set of knee guards.

Total; $900 retail. :S

I WAS HAVING A CORONARY and a credit card melt down…Much to TB’s delight

Both him and Lessa where calling me a tight arse.

Then Mal got to work and worked out a wicked OBT discount !!! He slashed $135 dollars off the price!!

    Thanks Sutto’s…….I’ll be back!!!!
That discount more than paid for my fuel to Sydney and back!!!!!!

Good work mick, you’ve just stimulated our local economy down here at penrith!

I’m sure Sutto’s experience would guide him well but I tend to think phone orders are more likely to guarantee the right part gets dispatched. It gives the buyer and Suttos the chance to discuss if it is the right part for the intended bike/use and also discuss if there’s a better alternative. That said, for simple parts I reckon online ordering could be quicker for Mal as long as he clearly stated the disclaimer that “you get the part number you ask for and if it isn’t in stock we’ll notify you and reject payment until it is ready for dispatch” and politely told people not to whinge if they bought a honda sticker kit for their pit bike because they looked a similar pink colour.

blah blah blah – that’s why it can start getting sticky I reckon and being online means you’re susceptible to being blindsided by whingers that stuff up their own order and choose to blame you. Good luck with it.

p.s I’m under 30 but already 90% devon head so I fit in perfect round these parts :p
