Suzuki LT50 Quad questions

Just picked up an 87 LT50 for the young bloke. A bit of playing around and it is now running great but i have a few queries-

1. What oil/fuel ratio should i be running ? The oil tank has been removed. My research showed 50:1 40:1 and even 32:1. ?????????

2. What oil should i use for the crank case ?

32:1 would be my guess. That is what we run the KX85 at and it seems happy.

Any 2 stroke gear oil for the box. You probably would get away with ATF if you were prepared to change it regularly.

32:1 may help it run a touch cooler and lets face it they are have it pinned all day so the more lube the betterand not to mention when your on a 2banger smoke is your best friend, I am about to have a look at the regearing tab these things apparently have?? great bike for the bratts, and the kid love it as well.

I`ll get back to you on the crank cas oil.

Thanks for that. Just wasnt sure as theres a big difference between 50:1 and 32:1.

And as for the kids loving em my young blokes been riding it around the yard already. (with the fuel that was in the tank already)

LT80 here, run it at 30:1 or thereabouts.. great quads, Brenton flogs our stupid and still it comes back for more….

I think Suzuki recommend 20/50 wt engine oil. same as the RMX.
