I am still a little perplexed about your statement regarding the Yamaha YZF450 motor Champo.

An engine is an engine – if it can give its owner many years of riding enjoyment without shitting itself who gives a rats arse what it looks like.

Just cause the Yammie motor is DIFFERENT looking to every other bike on the market does that really matter.

What were your thoughts when the new Burg motor come out cause shock horror it was DIFFERENT to everything else.

And yes it wouldn’t matter what Yamaha bought out I would still think it was the best. But that is my opinion only.

The Zero’s look gay too. don’t think they will sell new technology like that very effectively when they look crap. they basically have MTB suspension too which won’t be helping matters.

i told the rep that they look like they are a uni project using icecream buckets. he agreed and said that they are working on another generation that will look more conventional.

i didn’t see the zero demo on the trials area, but i heard from a punter that it was very impressive

they are racing them in an ma leco series, i think, next year. that will push the development a little quicker

And that’s why we are all different, did it have a good looking engine though cause that’s makes all the difference :P

Not to mention they basicaly had MTB brakes. :(

That being said I have seen pics of the KTM version and it looks the goods. Like it or not there will be a future in these things it’s more a case of when rather than if. I don’t see that as a bad thing. The electric motor technoligy is already up to the task, eletric motors are capable of very high RPM with masses of torque right across the rev range. It is only battery tech that is holding them back but batteries are getting more powerful, longerlasting and lighter all the time. I do hope they improve the styling though.

Dan and tb. Are you 2 drinking? You are getting really emotional and aggressive re engines aesthetics.

Go back and read whole stories. You will be surprised what you read. Dan you may also read in this website I like the design.

Now not just the misquotes. Where did I say that good looking engines make all the difference?
You may also find that many bikes are not to everyone’s ideal aesthetics.

I bought a bike last week that in my opinion is quite ugly. I’m mature enough to live with that. But I still find beauty in engineering design. therefore, i have cast of an engine for a coffee table.

now back on topic. there was also a clearance shop there. racy bought a new jersey ($30). and i bought a deus ex machina jacket ($30) to keep me warm on racy’s vespa. i don’t know what price the jacket was new. but i noticed later that day that deus wanted $120 for a rashie . they also wanted $70 for a roll of glass exhaust wrap.

scotty: what camera did you take your photos with?

we just took racy’s jersey out of it’s bag to discover it has silly looking elbows. doh. maybe that was why it was $30. we may have to take to it with a black texta.

Sony H50. 9MP 15x optical zoom. I’m starting to get the hang of this camera. I had the image quality down to 3MP as I knew some of the photo’s would be loaded up online and the 9MP piture are big file that eat into my monthly limit. I also had some issues with the sun outside. I took a shitload of photo’s but again would kill my monthly download limit if I put them all up.

WTF ??? I am going out on a limb here & saying that I didn`t read any aggression into the thread until this post came up, Sorry but thats how I see it !!!

And if you are mature enough to live with an ugly bike, why not be mature enough to respond to the Squirrel accusations ???? Sorry again, but that`s how I see it

Now I feel like a D*&#K for adding to the stuffing up of this thread !!!!!

    BACK ON TOPIC PLEASE
