Sydney to Menindee/Darling River

Hi all, a mate and I are planning to do an 8 day lap of NSW departing on Sunday 5th May from South West Sydney. We’d love to get a few more people along or meet up with some along the way.

We will be going first of all via the M5 to Moss Vale and Canyonleigh to Taralga and basically cutting a dirt road swathe to Forbes and then Condo for Day 1. Day 2 from Condo out to Ivanhoe via the rail line maintenance road. The next day is a bit more rail access road and then tracks thru to Menindee. We havent exactly yet decided what we’re doing next but we’re highly likely to follow the Darling River from Menindee up to Tilpa for the next night, then dive down south and back to Sydney via the Riverina and the Snowys over the next 4 days.

We will do a combo of camping with 1-2 hotel nights thrown in. If you wanna come along just say so. My mate has a KTM 950 and I’ll be putt-putting behind with my asthmatic KLR (although it should be a nice ride since I dropped it off at Teknik today to get the suspension sorted )

Ok have read it :laugh: Umm yes and no its hard to pick them depends on NP, logging etc thats why I do so much pre running :pinch:

The railway service line is a cracker as is the Condo while not the best spectator race its the people and the bikes that make the event. Make sure you wander the showground on the saturday night and check out the goings on

Apart from not pulling the hat off ya head, the KLR should be a little more.. ummmm… adequate (!?) after Nick weaves a little magic
