    Have now

Trail riding seems to be experiencing a resurgence lately, with more and more riders hitting the trails every weekend.
With many of these riders over 30 years old, two riders from The Blue Mountains, Trailboss and Chris72a realised that the information available on the internet was lacking to some degree for the more mature trail rider.
So over a few cans of Bundy TB and Chris came up with the idea to set up a website forum, specifically for older riders who get out there amongst it or are looking to get back into the sport after a lay off.
Hence OLD Bull trailriders http://www.obtrailriders.com was born.
The need for such a site quickly became obvious in the first 2 months of operation, as the site experienced over a million hits and had a heap of members from all parts of Australia and overseas, sign up to participate in the forum. In no time, a wealth of information had been posted on the forum and it continues to grow every day. The site grew at such an alarming rate they required help moderating the posts ,so they invited experienced forum boarder micknmeld to be the forum moderator to help them keep things running smoothly (although at times Mick needs moderating himself).
If you are over thirty and ride a trail bike, it would pay you to visit the site and sign up, it’s free and with Technical talk, ride gatherings, ride reports, general bike talk going on, the information you require is more than likely there.
If you are looking for someone new to ride with, it is also the site to visit as the Old Bulls have already held several very successful ride weekends and the guys have some bigger rides in the pipeline for the near future.
To sign up and have a browse of the site go to http://www.obtrailriders.com

    Here’s another similar one

If you need information straight away, now days most people turn to the internet for the required advice.
On the internet, there is probably no better place to turn to for advice, than a forum, the aura of knowledge that hovers around them is amazing.
No matter what the subject, there is bound to be a forum of like minded people discussing the ins and outs of it.
Motorcycling is no different, with forums on every type of motorcycling discipline, make, model, repair or whatever, there available to you, just a click away.

Two veteran trail riders from the Blue Mountains in NSW, Trailboss and Chris72a (not their real names BTW), saw a lack of information available to older Trail riders (over 30) and to riders looking to get back into the sport after a lay off, for what ever reason.
So over a few Bundys one night TB and Chris hatched a plan to start a forum style website specifically focusing on Trail riding for the more “mature” rider. Hence OLD Bull Trailriders http://www.obtrailriders.com ,was formed.
When Australian Penthouse caught up with the boys they were very excited about how fast the site had grown since its inception just three months ago.
“We had an idea that there were a few “older guys” still carving up the trails, looking to join up with other riders in other areas, for a ride and a few coldies.” Said Trailboss
“But we had no idea of how many there were out there and we are over the moon with the response to the site so far.” He went on to say.
Chris the I.T brains behind the site, pointed out, that in the short time they have been online there had already been over a Million hits, ”Which is quite astounding, and showed us, we were on to something good” said Chris.
Although the site has been running only a short time the OLD Bull Trailriders have already held several very successful ride weekends.
They have put a team in the Yellow Mountain Cross Country, held a 3 day ride at Wauchope and ran a single day ride at the Watagans and another at Capertee, all organised through the site.
With several more rides in the pipeline for the future, one of which will be a ride from Parkes to Cameron’s corner and another, 3 day high country ride in the Snowies, the boys have certainly got a few older guys keen again.
“Having looked at other bike forums, I was given the impression that some guys take it all a bit serious”, commented Trailboss.
“At the Oldbull site we are a bit more laid back and a fair share of joking goes on, which I feel creates a community feel at the Oldbull Trailriders and is what
keeps riders coming back to the site”. Chris added.
So if your whiskers are starting to grey a little or you look better with your helmet on and it appears your nylons have shrunk a bit, take the time to have a browse around the site http://www.obtrailriders.com , there are tech articles, ride reports, ride gatherings and more to get you motivated to dust off the bike and get out there amongst it..
