Its funny I’m still at that age, but the bike has taken over the eBay spending.

Dont worry rookie, I get at least one speech a week as to why dad should chip in for a new Kato 300. Amazing how many reasons there are for buying a new bike when you really put your mind to it.

I remember been in high school giving my presents that lecture that I needed a crf450 … they laughed and told me once I get a apprenticeship I can buy it myself. I reakon I could pass on some of my arguments to your young fella. No guarantee they’ll work … they didnt work for me.

I can relate to this one MrSquiggle my son has a car that is worth about $600 and the stereo in it is worth about $6000.

I can’t say to much he just gets out the photo albums and points out the cars i had at his age.

    Cheers

I still remember with pride the dodgy rebuild on the 302 windsor in my ZB fairlane. Had no money but no stress either. Back then a bad day was the vacuum cleaner starting up before I was ready to get out of bed  :silly:

Have to admit that nates stereo sounds just a little bit fully sick. B)

My first car was a 2 smoker Suzuki Stockman with a stereo in the back like that :woohoo:
Took up more than half the back and added to the Oil consumption

I used to pull into a servo, fill the Oil Res bottle and check the petrol 😆

Great times when ya get ya first wheels hey ?????????

If it is anything like my sons first car with it’s subwoofer the first thing you would hear as he came down the street was the various bit and pieces vibrating before you heard the doof doof. :D

Funny how things work. Me and my mates were the same with the big car stereos. We didn’t do the big sub woofer though. It would have interfered with the amount of swags and grog we could fit in on road trips to B&S’s and local parties. Maybe it depends if you live in town or not.

Got to love a Ford as your first car. Big, roomy, reliable and best of all cheap as chips for what you get.

He looks like a good young bloke but I’m a bit concerned. He’s got the boot up on the ford and the bonnet up on Dad’s cruiser next door.
