Teknik’s Yamba visit 26th and 27th of Feb 2011
After the success of the Teknik’s Wauchope weekend earlier this year, see here and some discussions with Nick we are having another Teknik’s suspension weekend this time on the far north coast. Being at Yamba this time which we believe is an ideal location being able to support Old Bull members from Coffs Harbour to Qld and beyond. This time Nick will only be doing 8 bikes maximum thus giving him more time to spent dialing bikes in for everyone there, giving you the whole factory rider experience.
It will be held at Nickj’s place, there is space to roll out a swag or pitch a tent if you have to travel or wish to stay. Nickj is even getting a bobcat in to do over his existing track so everyone will be able to test ride their bike in front of Nick to complete their custom suspension job. There is also an enduro loop for fine tuning. All this is on site so everyone’s legal even with no rego! This offer to have Teknik’s and Nick in your back yard and have your bike setup for you is for Old Bull members only and their kids bikes if that’s what you want done. You will get an Old Bull discount, have a fun day if Wauchope is anything to go by and be able to ride safer, faster in control for longer.
Get your name, bike model and year down on the list. I will be in contact with you via PM, next Nick will ring you for a chat and discuss what can be done etc

November 16, 2010 at 1:40 am #190806Depending on funds availiability
(post Xmas at my place is usually not a glorious rolling in dough type time, although having said that Mrs Cee is working Xmas day, Boxing day and Newyears so she will be flush with casharoony, now a cunning plan is needed to relieve her of said funds….Mmmm)Possible/likely booking in two bikes-
2003 YZ250WR with previous work dones by a QLder, but is still harsh in the front, so needs work.
and a post 2003 KX/RM65 (adjustable suspension post ’03 models see & haven’t bought one yet, but need to very soon I tells ya) for 9 yr old 45 kilo demon.

sherco 5.1 2007November 16, 2010 at 10:13 am #190857If you are in two minds whether to do this my advice would be to grab the opportunity with both hands. Apart from waking up tomorrow as a factory rider this is a rare chance to get factory treatment.
Sending your suspension away to get worked on is one thing but having it done trackside whilst the tuner looks on and listens to your feedback is a completely other level again. If you want a better handling bike this is your chance.

November 16, 2010 at 10:29 am #190862Making the effort to drive to Wauchope a few months ago was the difference between keeping and selling my bike. While speaking to Tekniks before the work I told them I had ridden another bike and was thinking of selling my Drz to buy one of these. They explained that even by buying the other bike I would still not have perfect suspension and would need to get it set up for me anyway. So I took a punt and after a quick ride around Mooses paddock I was surprised what had happened, I was expecting big improvements with the front , as it was hopeless, but the rear was awesome it hugged the ground over every bump and even soaked up jumps that I’d never have got away with before.
This is by far the best money I have spent on my bike and will in future be putting the suspension well before engine or exhaust mods.November 17, 2010 at 4:46 am #190865Unfortunately 9but not confirmed ye so holding my breath) was informed last night that is the week we are booked for holiday to G/Coast….
I will try delicate negotiations later with Mrs Cee and Kids…
