Tenere 660 fuel consumption

    Folks, I thought that you may be interested in my Tenere 660’s fuel consumption that I have been tracking since I bought the bike new earlier in the year.

    The data is below but my average tank range calculated over a 5424 km distance is 540.94 km to a single tank :woohoo:

    Thats really interesting Jan, your getting great mileage out of your Ten, I’m always amazed how far I can go on a tank ;)

    Yeah got to say I was amazed blown away actually :ohmy: Nick and I have done 417kms for 21 litres both took the same and I thought that was great. Maybe thats why we ruin cush rubbers Nick :laugh:

    I guess we have the two extreme measures at play here; regular commuting in Sydney traffic (my worst consumption), country touring 2 up (my best consumption) versus your trail riding figures obtained by a lot of throttle plays and full range gear shifting I assume. Either way, these things are fantastic on fuel!

    Oh and I suspect that you are right about the cush drive thing TB. Apparently they don’t last long when you ride it proper :whistle:

    I change my Cush drive rubbers with every rear tyre change , so about 3000-4000km , and they aren’t just slightly worn they are stuffed !! :(

    Folks,

    XT660Z Tenere’s overall consumption over 20,000 is 23.25 km/l – bloody fantastic in my book :cheer:

    Wow, I can never get numbers like that.
    And in the high country, with luggage it was pretty ordinary. Ie get to 300klm and it wants fuel.
    Some damn big hills down there though. And some great opportunities to pull on full throttle….. :)
    Maybe thats why I only get 2000 k’s out of a tyre. Hmmm
