Air filter on Tenere? Under the snorkel?

I can see four screws to get that off.

On my old KLR it was inside the right hand side panel. Going to clean it tomorrow night so it would help if I knew where it was.

Why do you treat me like this? I only said I wanted to sit on a KTM, not own one! :pinch:

Ok here is how you access the air filter in your Tenere Wiggy

Here it is, yeah ok yours is different because it looks like this :)

So now you have two choices, you can undo the 4 phillip head screws and take the top and snorkel out. Then pull the snorkel from the lid, clean the filter and fit only the lid minus the snorkel.
Best option is to fit a DNA filter lid from off the road, it is better at clamping the filter when the snorkel is removed in my opinion as the snorkel adds strength to the standard lid.

And fit allen head screws ;)

Here is my filter from the navigation ride, dusty cause I played in the pack

    Hi TB,
I have checked out the pictures of the off the road filter lid and was wondering if there would be much difference if I just cut the existing snorkel off flush with the lid and left the bottom part in to hold the foam filter in place

And also is that how you run with it in your bike [pic 3] with nothing covering it.

    Thanks James

Thanks TB. Filter cleaned and oiled tonight.

Actually James made a good point. I was thinking of cutting the snorkel off too. What do you reckon?
