Just wanted to say thanks to the guys at Teknik for the work they did on my suspension.
I had the forks and shock set up for my weight which meant new springs. Both were revalved to suit the Sunny Corner terrain that I’m going to be riding in the A4DE and most of the riding I do in this area is rocky. They also installed a T-Valve dirt kit, not sure what that does but it’s on the invoice. Sounds flash though.
The first ride was a bit hard to gauge as I was wearing all my new riding gear and everything was stiff and I forgot my goggles and it was just raining. But by the end of the day the gear was getting comfortable and I could concentrate on how the bike was performing. One hill we went down is just all loose cobble rocks and I really noticed the difference then. The bike seemed to steer where i wanted it to go and soaked up everything that I would normally bork at.
I went out again yesterday and with the riding gear all settled I pushed the bike (and me) a bit harder over the rough ground. The suspension was working really well now. The faster I rode over rocky stuff the better it worked. It does kick around a little at slower speeds but that maybe me not riding hard enough or the clickers might need slight adjustment. TB is going to help me with the final setup soon.
I also got an Old Bull discount which was nice.
I would recommend anyone thinking of having their suspension serviced or reworked to give the guys at Teknik a call. Its money well spent.
