yep, i had one of those on the weekend too Ecks. 2km to go and splat.
head and neck sore……ability meter reset:laugh:
insanity unharmed:silly:
its almost always the way.
June 9, 2009 at 10:38 am #138790the last 5 ks and the first 5 ks are when you are most likely to wipeout, to relaxed coming home mind off the ball, not quite in the zone on the way out.
August 31, 2009 at 10:37 am #138792Sorry to drag this old thread up folks, but I had a ride with Stu on the weekend. It was his first ride after the crash (and mine!! ) and he went really really well.
It was good to see him back in the saddle – although he did have a “new” bike, saying that the old one bit him! An 08 KTM300, looked pretty tidy too, if that’s your cup of tea!
Heard some stories about his old bike… dunno who bought that one, but I hope they got it cheap!
Cheers!

August 31, 2009 at 10:39 am #150652Hey ECKS wont the pony express be a quicker style of riding like this? I mean you sounded put of by that sort of riding before mate?
And good on ya Stu
back on the horse

August 31, 2009 at 10:44 am #150653Yeah TB, but a ride’s a ride and given the upcoming events in our lives I figured I would have a crack! Besides, I pay extra on my IP insurance to race and haven’t raced yet! Oh, and a mate is part of the crew running it.
I figure I will ride to my ability and enjoy the day!

August 31, 2009 at 10:56 am #150657hay ecks i think the pony express will fit right into your style of riding being at coonerbarabran a lot different than this ride but may still have some fast bits. good to see stu is back on the bike thought he may have brought something slitely different to what he sold
August 31, 2009 at 11:09 am #150658Yeah Rocket, I was surprised that he went another 300. Good for him though! Shows how tough he is that he can get back on the same bike that bit him I think.
I am looking forward to the pony express. As you say I think it won’t be super-fast. The area it is in is pretty hilly and scrubby. I am hoping it is similar to Louee or Biketerritory, neither of which are as tight as Catombal.
August 31, 2009 at 12:38 pm #150661Who dragged this old thread up from the grave?
The Coona PE is for 2 strokes only guys. There’s hills there. Didn’t anyone tell you Western Plains lads?
Who would buy a banged up 300 after a crash like that. They must be desperate for a deal. Fancy taking advantage of people like that! Those 300s are crap anyway.

Hey, I DID apologise!
Technically I’m a Central West lad, so I must have missed the memo on that one… thanks for the heads up, I’ll remove two of the strokes from the WR before I go!
I know! Madness! Poor bugger must be kicking himself now I bet!

Axel, that comes across as a bit rough mate, I hope it wasn’t meant that way. The thread was brought back by ECKS as he some somthing to add to it. There is no problem with that.
Glad to hear Stu is back in the saddle after his ‘incident’ though, I know how that is

Hahaha! Its all good Moto, you see I had a small fish with Axel since he bought Stu’s old 300! So he had a small dig back – but didn’t take the bait! There is a lesson there to be learnt by a lot of us!

AnonymousI did wonder if you knew each other, it’s not clear from your second post if that was the case and I didn’t know if Axel was having an off day so thought I’d just mention it
Since there’s history between you let the jesting continue

Gday Moto, Ecks knows what I was on about… Not enough smiley faces there but I didn;t want to ruin the effect. Trust me when I say I don’t lash out without tongue in cheek
, not that sort of fellow. I’m very rarely dead serious unless we are talking technical. ‘Till next time!
