Ten days ago I lost control at speed on a pine single. Went off the track got airborne and came down pretty hard against a large very solid pine log. Biggest cock up I have had apart from meeting bollocks. Anyway as I sit here feeling sore and sorry I got to thinking OBT doesn’t have a section for pictures of the outcomes of our balls ups.

So how about posting up some pictures of our broken bikes and bodies as memory to the times we didn’t quite nail a track.

Way too much camera zoom Snowy.

Here is one I found easily, circa 2001 from memory. Near Nowra, super hard pack fire trail erosion mound downhill went all wrong. Left forearm was the worst part out of shot, most of it was in gellnet by the hospital for a week. Still see scars today.

Bad day at the beach
Surfing can be a bit dangerous too (bloody rocks)
Still have a very sore back which is keeping me away from my two loves, surfing and riding

The trouble with having big feet is they get in the way sometimes, 1 broken bone in there.

The result of being on blood thinners?

any little bump or cut results in either a massive heamatoma or bleeding to death :-)

5 stitches from a bump on a piece of metal

Swiping past a vice

Now now girls it’s great riding & great blokes to ride with.
The small list so far , a broken tail bone, torn hamstring, broken bone in my neck, a sapped acilies ( not bike related ) & out of action now with a busted wrist.
But my nephews injury list from the one off reads,

Head injury concussio and 8 stitches
Punctured lung
Lacerated spleen
Smashed left kidney
Laceration right hip
Broken right hip/pelvis
Awaiting scan on left shoulder
Lucky boy!!
But he’s alive & will be back on a bike as most of us are, to much fun not too.

Rick
