With Bol and i doing some dealings i decied i would head out to pay him a visit. We left here friday arvo and stayed in the 5 star resort in tamworth (bolarama resort i recommend it)
After a fresh morning start we met up with Snowy, Aaron and Damos. Then we made in convo out to Nundle where we met up with Adam and Polly.
After gearing up and watching Adam and Snowy having a “moment” talking about KTM and how Snowy has got a loaner to test ride  we set off for some cruisey riding to get warmed up and at our first stop we started picking up the bits falling of the KTM   and after a chat i asked if any one knew this guy walking towards us with his full hunting gear and mother F#@ker size gun that has bullets that could bring down a massive anaimal or even a TB
So we headed of and spent the morning going through some real sweet singles and i had a small detour via the wier after the corner man system failed (well i had fun so not sure if it was a fail) we headed on to the berry patch where there service up there is unreal and food was great to. The gas gun bird scarer was good to hey Snowy
After lunch i asked if we were going to see any hills today so we headed of to paracute and after getting to the top of that i was disapointed in the “hill” thought it may have been a bit of a challenge if i took my Santa Fe instead of the KLX so Bol thought he would take us to C U Next Tuesday hill which was a short but real rockie so we got to the bottom of it and the Old Man Aaron and my self road back up it even if it was a bit of a peddal i simply ask for more please Bol so he said fine we will head to Sweet Mother Jesus hill and i was keen as mustard and after a very very short ride we were on it and i was second last onto it to see Bikes sitting in ruts with the Old Mans DRZ the highest up and still peddaling i followed Aaron up the left and was traveling well till he thought a CRF road block was in order so after a cross rut i contiuned on to see Bol was deeper then the Titanic in a rut and the Old man was out of site so i knew i was heading for the top and in no time i was sitting at the top with the Old Man and then soon Aaron was with us, Then Adam made his apperence followed by Snowy then Polly then Super Bol and then good old Damos to complete one unreal day.
So then on a few easy roads back to the car as i was following the old mans DRZ he came of a small water bar with the bike going into one rut and his foot landed in another right and after watching him getting all crossed up and getting on the horn as he shot of into the scrub i was laughing my ass off only to sit on the next corner for ages to then ride back to see him laying on the ground after he had done his Knee in. Still funniest thing i had seen in ages on a bike though LOL so after Doctor Bol had done a bandage job and i needed to convince him that he didnt need that CPR we got him back on his bike as there was no way i was going to carry him out of there we head for the cars and loaded up and said our good byes. Sorry to leave you with a tear in your eye Bol but i promise we will be back.

April 14, 2012 at 1:47 pm #219695Top ride :woohoo:
Still sore
Snowy get a lighter bike, stuff the kids education
and the tracks are difficult enough as it is without you lying all over them
I think Polly’s arms are about a foot longer now  and I’ve learnt the art of dodging flying rocks after following Polly on a 450 with new tyres :pinch:
Loved the singles :woohoo: everything went right going through them :woohoo: well apart from one log anyway (small one at that too)
It was funny seeing Bigger Al blast off into the bush
shame you hit the rut or whatever it was whilst you were in there  I’m sure Corey didn’t remind you of it on your way home
Thanks Bol for organizing the ride
Snowy for his leading, he’s a human GPS
and Damus for his sweeping, and searh and rescue skills
Always good to see Aaron, well the blur thats Aaron as he flys past
Corey if you want hills I’m sure Murph or Sam know where a few are 👿
The video was just as Corey went MIA, I had to edit out 35 mins between Polly and Bigger Al

MurphApril 14, 2012 at 8:36 pm #219750This to me is what trail riding is all about
April 14, 2012 at 8:39 pm #219751BTW
Nice pic Bol
Cruizing and looking in total control.Too true Nick J
Have ridden with Damos once and I have to admitt he was up with everyone in the crew
Good to see the TTR250 is still in there, well, especially in the hands of such a capable rider
We used to ride with a young fella on one of those machines.
He was never far behind my 525 and mostly up my clacker on the tight stuff.
Cheers
MurphApril 14, 2012 at 8:40 pm #219748Different riders have different perspectives and after yesterday its obvious your abilty to ride is why there is differences. Corey found our hills didint challenge him yet on the final hill (so aptly christened sweet mother of jesus by boll) while Corey was resting at the top I was still half way up and considering how it wasnt really a bad place to die- lovely day, out on the trail on a bike doing what you enjoy and better still the ground was soft enough the boys could have dug me a shallow grave without much effort.
Thanks to a helping shove or twenty from Adam (thanks mate) I finally got to the top of the hill (not saying I conqured it just I got up it thats all) to see Aaron Corey and Bigger All wanting to offer high fives, sorry I didnt respond boys I was more interested in lying down and trying to get my heart rate back under 300bpm.
I enjoy leading rides but yesterday I was pushed to my limit and beyond trying to keep in front of the pack and maintain a good pace but constantly found Al, Aaron or Corey pushing me. I may have to go to leading rides for those slower than me but that would only leave me to ride with Boony and Bolls which would be pretty boring.
I had the chance to ride a 08 ktm450 and while it turns and handles and does most things better than the DRZ I wont be queing up to buy one anytime soon. Personal taste really I just didnt find the bike to my liking and the hard seat has left me feeling like I have been arse raped by king kong.
Thanks to all the boys who travelled long distances to ride with us, it was a great day. Aaron finally got some one to push him hard with Corey and Bigger Al riding brilliantly, it will be only a matter of years before Corey gets to be as good a rider as his dad.
Highlight of the day was Boony being at Coffs Harbour so we didnt have to ride with him!
