Did you get a new helmet after that? Probably should at least check it out, that was a hard hit!
Edit: Menace, good to see the DT’s still getting around! They are such a bulletproof machine! Didn’t go, stop or turn, but hey, those things are overrated anyway! Had to keep slightly on topic!
April 9, 2009 at 6:03 am #128581Nah ECKS, I didn’t get a new helmet,it has since had a bigger smack on the ground and now has a big gouge in it.
It is hard to retire a near new $500 helmet, without the missus having something to say about the cost of “bloody motorbikes”.April 9, 2009 at 6:19 am #128583micknmeld wrote:

Quote:its off to the powdercoaters tomorra…..promise;)well after months of lazyness, i finally started pulling her down a couple of weeks ago. i wanted the swingarm off so it could go to the powdercoaters too.
coming apart
you can see the twist in the frame here
all the arse end off, swingarm bushes looked brand new still. Tonka, my apprentice wasnt much help:laugh:
i got the frame, swinger and stand back from the coaters on friday. they did a wicked job. it only cost me $215. i couldnt have painted it for that price:laugh:
the swingarm looks grey here but it is silver with metal flake
i will be getting into it again after the snow ride to have it “tip-top” for sammy before we go to louee;)
fingers crossed……

AnonymousC’mon Menace get that bike back together for Sammy.
Louee is really not that far away now.
You could always let her ride your bike

AnonymousSuck eggs Menace. I’m gonna give Sammy a ride on my WR at Louee which means that when if she ever wants to replace the DT she’s gonna want a WR not a KTM.
Ha ha!
