as being an owner of a ss hatchback torana and a follower of the “real “days of touring car racing icant agree more that you are only following a badge on the grille and the rest of the car is the same as any other car out there both manufacteres dont produce 5 liter motors in there cars in this country. This is the only race i watch all year and couldnt be bothered watching any other crap.
i hope they would go back to the days of real manufactered cars one day and have a cars that the punters can buy out the shop,stick a price limit on them so it stops one off hybrid cars and let the real drivers get out there and manhandle something you or i could get our hands on i say

Bring back the Japs and see how fast Holden and Ford develop new cars to compete It’s like watching banger racing compared to the Euro DTM cars. Ford and Holden are as bogan as the people invading Mal and Medogrockets town.

Maybe they can make a Jap car category? You know, they’re only allowed 2 litres or something to keep it competitive? They could just copy the whole 2t/4t MX theme I reckon a stock Skyline R35 would take it to those V8 show ponies.

With that said and done, anyone want to go next year? No seriously, it’s a bucket list thing, number 24 on my bucket list is to laugh at the Ford bogan’s at Mount Panorama whilst getting paralytic and spewing on Medogrockets front lawn

I missed watching it thus year. Others look at me funny when I tell them I have never watched it in person but I don’t think I could handle the ford Holden crowd. I’ve been there for the other races held at Easter and drive around it when going through.

Axle and Moto you have to go once, make sure you pack a terry towelling hat and a set of gum boots so you can fit in, went to Bathurst today and laughed the whole way there, the Bogans were bumper to bumper for 40ks trying to get back to Sydney, would have been funny in the mountains
