    Hey James,
Yes I will be heading solo from The Blue Mountains to the Corner on the 21st. I have ordered my tyres from Sutto’s, bags are packed, room is booked and bike is nearly prepped ready for launch. :woohoo:

I will not be heading the traditional way to The Corner from here so it maybe a little more challenging we will see.

Below is my spot link for those who maybe interested ;)

Badbowie inspired me and gave me some valuable insight into this ride and ever since BB did the ride last year I have been planning this ever since. Thanks BB  ;)

Yeah mate, I had always planned to do it solo and if I had met up on the way with some fellas so be it. The way I look at it, life is too short, as we all know and sometimes you just have to say f$#& it lets just do it!
TB, PTW & Dejay were talking about doing it also, but they were starting from a different point and taking a different route. Not sure what they are doing now? TB was rethinking whether to do it or not….
I have modified my route numerous times now and have nearly settled on the final route. Just need to make some enquires in the next week or so RE; Fuel availability. But I am pumped and ready for the challenge

    I think

    Cheers,

Probably a wise choice going solo, less distractions you may be able to focus more at the task ahead ;)

Although from what you said earlier, sounds like you have been giving it a lot of thought already[probably already rode it a hundred times in your head].

What bike are you riding

    #233385

Yeah thanks mate. I am on a KTM450  :silly:   It has had a few mods to cope with the big k’s and I have done a few adv rides on it. We will see how it goes eh. ;)

Yeah thanks gents! I will post a few photo’s of the finished bike prepped and ready to go soon.
The rear fuel tank has had some mods Eags after the shakedown to Bathurst  It is now mounted to a Pro-billet rack that I put on the back of the bike to carry a Wolfman Expedition Dry Duffel with a third mount in the centre. i will do a few k’s on a pre run to ensure all is good before the 21st.

    Cheers,

Well not long to go now! :woohoo: I will do a final pre-run during the week to ensure that i have not missed anything and check the wheel balance. I fitted a pair of new hoops (Michelin T63’s) and a new set of front pads.
Next Friday the 21st is launch date at 5:44am (which is the advertised sunrise time)

Here is my spot Lefty’s Spot

    For those interested.

You be careful out there Lefty, lots of wildlife around thicker on the ground then has been in the last 15 years ol mate (brother in laws Dad tells me last week) If you cant see back it off, ride safe will catch you up this week before you go and get that info of you to keep an eye out. Got friends, relatives out west everywhere but be better if you don’t need them of course ;) I am of work those days so I will be around maybe even out at Trangie if you get saddle sore on the way home

Good luck see you Monday or Tuesday
