Thanks STM! I will give it a red hot go and I have been in contact with some guys who have attempted this last year and didn’t make it, so I am not assuming that it will be easy spending such a long time in the saddle at speed and concentrating on the varying road conditions and trying not to take any wild life with me. :dry: My route will be a little different from the normal, most direct route from here as i want to take in more dirt and be a bit challenged.
I was inspired last year by Badbowie in doing this ride and to make it like BB will be a great acheivement but I beleive that I will have to earn it.So here goes :woohoo: Just keep an eye on the spot.

You be careful out there Lefty, lots of wildlife around thicker on the ground then has been in the last 15 years ol mate (brother in laws Dad tells me last week) If you cant see back it off, ride safe will catch you up this week before you go and get that info of you to keep an eye out. Got friends, relatives out west everywhere but be better if you don’t need them of course

For the record Eags it wasn’t much over the cost of the helmet new :huh: given the custom art work, and its heritage and the autograph its bloody cheap

Mate I am sure that it is a great piece of memorabilia and only a one off helmet as you mentioned. From one of great riders and a great bloke too eh! I can’t wait to borrow it off ya for the next grass track shenanigans at Moose’s place. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I have finished my prep and did around 40km today just to make sure that all is ok.Here it is all ready for the long trip!!
