You did do a top job Boony , I haven’t got the balls to stand up in front of people and do what you did to get more dollars in the jug, you did it well and certainly made a massive difference to what was raised!
November 29, 2010 at 7:57 am #191516Yeah I would like to thank Boony, I got a phone call just after we arrived at the pub to tell me my Uncle / God Father had passed away earlier in the day after a battle with f*#king cancer. I was gutted and needed someone to help with the jug and Boony just stepped up. He continued on Saturday night getting the evening started and sharing the MC role and providing the two fingered whistle to hold the carry on
Thanks Glen

November 29, 2010 at 9:53 am #191090Thought
What if the local paper was fired off an email with a pic or two and a little story about the old bulls and the money that was raised for a good cause ?
Might keep the Mrs Jessops off our back for next time.
We are not really there to rip up their beaches, run over their dogs(or roos) and rattle the dentures out of little old ladies mouths with our throbbing exhast pipes
It must be a bit intimdating to see a heap of blokes dressed like storm troopers invading their little coastal havens
I’d shit bricks if 30 or 40 bikies roared past me while i was knitting. But if i knew it was all for a good cause i would probably bake them a pie :cheer:Your turf STM…but just a thought.
My head hurts :S
Bol :woohoo:

I appreciate the thought but I don’t need any more publicity. It is a small town and everyone showed great respect but if any local asks me it never happened.
November 29, 2010 at 10:18 am #191542we should fire an e-mail to trace from the Amble Inn thanking her for what she let some rat bags do in her pub?
Amble Inn,,,stagger out. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

December 3, 2010 at 9:55 am #191807When we did the Cameron 2010 ride this year I made a t-shirt for each person involved and I’m pretty sure everyone was happy with their shirt.
I got thinking and thought it would be a good idea to make some more shirts with individual designs for the Nabiac and 3 state High Country ride.
The shirts cost me $40 to buy and get printed so I would sell them for $35 and donate $25 to the fast fill charity for that ride.I will post up the designs a few weeks before each ride and take PM orders after that, the shirts will be avalible on day one of each ride.
I’d be interested in your thoughts and suggestions if the idea can be improved on!
December 3, 2010 at 10:19 am #191091Sounds good to me Nick, I would definately grab one
Might be a bit of work though to make them for too many ride weekends,,, the bigger ones like the Corner, anniversary weekend , Xmas party etc etc are a great idea.Good luck & keep me informed on the progress mate
March 6, 2011 at 4:46 pm #191825Just so everyone knows, at my birthday ride we charged $25 for lunch and breakfast.
The actual cost of which was $22.50 per person. This left us with a small profit of $65.00 to donate to a charity of my choice. Barry Breckenridge gave me an additional $135 out of his own pocket to round it up to a neat $200.
He then sold a fold up chair that was left behind last year after no owner could be found. That gave us an extra $20.So this morning the money in its entirety was donated to Beyond Blue in memory of a few mates that are no longer here due to depression.
March 6, 2011 at 5:03 pm #197785Thanks Mick Congrats on the good work done. I will make a point of ringing Barry and thanking him. I was disappointed no one stepped up and took on the custodian role for the jug which is why the jug didn’t get sent up. The next role for the jug will be the birthday ride which we will want a custodian for if anyone is interested.
On the birthday ride I can say this will be the biggest ride birthday ride ever run, the prize list will be bigger than ever and at this stage if you attend and numbers are like last year you will have a one in two chance almost of taking home a prize and the prizes are normally first class
There will also be a special guest this year, a real guest for a change
Old bull of the year voting will open soon as well
Stay tuned and good job again Mick
