    Thanks big time Boulder
I will be at work for the next three days so I am quitely confident that not only I can remove the pesky lower bearing but may have new ones to put back on.
    Will see what happens

Cut outer cage off with a grinder and inner race tapped off with a small hammer and chissel. :) :)
No bearings in store at work. :(
Will try bearing shop at Cardiff
Then as a last resort KTM
The original bearings seem to be made in Poland????
    Cheers

I prefer to replace seals with bearings so I’d be knocking the seal and bearing out and replace all. I know, seems a bit of a waste but sometimes the seals are the problem with the bearing in the first place and the seals are your best insurance against stuffing your new bearing. Small cuts or wear in seals are often hard to pick up with the naked eye (or one with clothes on for that matter!! )
Sorry for butting in on the thread.:S

All is good just finished puting it all back together.
Made a couple of mandrels at work to tap inner race and cones back in place.
Aluminum scaff tube is a perfect size for the cones. :)
Took it for a spin and I’m happy with it.
Next job is to replace the swing arm bearings.
Thanks to all for there input. :woohoo: B)
    Cheers

    Almost did as you said.
But to change the headstock bearings every 15000kms is no real biggy.
Wont have the old girl for the next change.
