September 22, 2013 at 9:24 am #250008Fantastic ride today. Another cracker. Very challenging at times. Well done again TB.
But the highlight of the week end was camping on Sat night. Jeez, there was some trash talking going on. I haven’t laughed that much for a long time.
The best bit was Pete the Wulf demonstrating his amazing Rubiks cube training programme. So THAT’S how you open a packet of batteries!
RR soon. How’s your ankle Wolfy? You were supposed to crash in the mud hole, not 20 metres before it.

Nose is fine, perhaps a tad tender. I was once punched flush on the bugle by a 20 stone Cornish trawlerman who was protecting the honour of his town (it was supposed to be a game of rugby) so compared to that it was a mere flea bite.
Wolfy should invest in his own X ray machine. He would probably save money.

September 22, 2013 at 12:21 pm #250010Well my day started early taking my daughter to work at maccas.
Then home for a abit more sleep then I thought I would get ready at 5.30 so drag out all the old riding gear wich haden’t been used in nearly 2 years, pants just fitted then the boot problem 30 minutes just to get one boot one ( my toes just kept curling up ) and off to Peats ridge met up with old and new faces due to some tech problems the ride went into the corner man system which worked really well Wolfie and I down the back sweeping very casually bit of dust just hang back.
All cool then after a short stop for a flat on the BMW in the Watagans which was only because of a bit low pressures and popping the bead no probs then of we go Wolfie sorta disappears I come around a corner I catch the end of him coming to a stop and all the boys about 20 or so meters on the other side of mud hole all set for photo opportunities, which I think all missed?????
Tenere down with stuff all damage thanks to bark busters and engine crash bars ( I will be investing in those, this stuff can be bought a Adventure moto) Wolfie not so good his boot had half come off and helmut peak facing barkwards (like daffy duck after elma fud had blasted him ) we straightened the bars up in the brackets on the bike and straightened the forks up so everything pointed the right way.
Wolfie pulled out near Morisset which I think was a good move on though Hawkmount and some single trail
I am really enjoying riding the tenere for such a heavy bike and stock tyres I really loved it (if it was wet it may have been a bit more challenging) I am very impressed.
On to West Wallsend for lunch at the Museum Hotel for a great feed then through sugar loaf and out to Brunkerville and over the gap where I pulled out.
I thought I would bail while I was feeling really good.
Forgot to mention Wigsters head but attempt on his GPS, he got a bit of a arse kicker and payed in blood .
Really wrapped for my first bike ride in soooo long
Thanks TB for lead and Lefty and Wolfie for sweeping.
Thanks to everyone else for a great day outSeptember 22, 2013 at 9:34 pm #250032Another cracker of a ride
Well done again TB, thank you, and even though we had some technical issues it still worked really well. It was a smaller group than usual with around 12 riders. A few of us camped on Saturday night which was a laugh a second I reckon, thanks gents great company over a few beverages
Thanks to Wolfie and Chicken for their efforts in sweeping and for rescuing my Klim Back pack after I rode off with it hooked on the side of my bike  They don’t survive very well when wrapped around your back wheel and then run over a few times
My spot tracker survived though :cheer:
I hope that the damage to your foot/ankle Wolfie is not too severe as that get off looked very nasty mate!! All the best and hope to catch up soon
RR to come later, but on a quick last note how tough is that Wigster!!! There I was riding along at sweep and then I saw this dirty black water hole about 1.5m long with a wicked looking square edge on the exit and there were some wheel tracks that went straight through it  Bugger me I thought that bloke is f*#%ing crazy riding through that!! Any way about 200m down the road a few guys were stopping and then I saw the Wigster getting off his Tiger with claret all over his face and he looked all dazed like a pissed lizard!! Low and behold Wiggy went through the water hole and the Tiger lashed out at him as it bottomed out through the hole  As a result the Wigster face planted on his GPS mounted on the bars of the Tiger smashing his nose across his face. To your credit mate you soldiered on after a quick wipe up and a drink of water… Tough as nails Champ, and I hope that you are feeling all ok today Dave
Cheers,
