Ok,
With the help of TB`s Free Exchange Thread idea, I have obtained an Aluminium pipe to fit to the Kwaka :woohoo:
She started out with this beauty as standard for the past 19,000ks
a tad restricted (note the extra drill holes to help her breath a bit) :laugh:And now this ripper has turned up
with a rear end looking a bit like this(only a gauze flame arrestor in there)
So now it is all tempararily fitted up waiting on connecting “A to B” or so to speak, so I suppose a trip to a Muffler joint is on the cards for next week. Should be a relatively easy transition piece needed which will enable a quick changeover back to standard for Rego checks or extended commuting use (yeh sure)Thanx again TB and I will post up the next installment as soon as I get the transition made up

November 8, 2010 at 10:55 pm #190351Looks good. Going to be a lot louder than the old one though. Imagine finally being able let loose after 19,000km. The bike will be reborn.
November 8, 2010 at 11:59 pm #190352Don’t forget to open the airbox eagle, she will need to breathe, and rejet

Got that covered mate, just ask TB about the induction roar when he rode it last friday
I have the standars snorkel removed already & it is only a few bolts to take the entire top off the Air box if neededAs for your pic Mick
Bite me, that looks more like you on one of your road misions (or maybe our old mate Moto) :woohoo:

Yeah, Have been thinking of a Jet Kit for a while now ( just didn`t have a decent pipe to warrant it) Problem solved now hey ???
Or maybe I could just get a bigget main jet & needle (maybe a 300 needle) from My local Kwaka dealer to suit  Any thoughts,,,,,

$160 sounds a bit steep to me for a kit. Can`t find any on FleaBay at the moment but leave it with me & I will sort the exhaust first, then might look for a deal on the JD KIT.Thanx anyway, will keep you in mind for sure, cold be a good catch up with you & Sal for a BBQ

Needle is N1TC and jet should be 122-127 around about
Think I have a 300 carby, some jets/needles, maybe even a pumper carby, will check tonight. If you go a pumper carby the one you need is (mikuni TM 33-8012)
Also do the crank case breather mod, this helps also
cheers hatto
