The Tenere goes to Teknik’s

OK the day has finally come, I dropped the big girl of at Tekniks this arvo for the huge suspension make over. It will need to be just that as the suspension on that bike is terrible someone at Yamaha wants r*#ting for selling a bike that is designed to do what it is with suspension that is from the 70’s. The front and rear has no rebound or compression adjusts available at all :ohmy:

Brad and Nick have assured me that it will be race capable when I get it back :woohoo: . I will see if I can get updates and how the development is going over the next two weeks while they go about developing the Tenere suspension ( they haven’t had a whole Tenere to play with yet)

Are they going to valve it to suit or will it also come back with exernal adjustability?

Scott I am not sure as I said I will get Brad or Nick to update the thread. They were talking about fitting some sort of flux capacitor thingy to the front to make it adjustable.

I will get them onto it eh :laugh:

Well I just got the big call from Brad at Tekniks the “Tenere” is ready :woohoo: :woohoo:

I am awaiting a breakdown of what was done and photos are coming. The forks have been totally changed and now have a level of adjustability that they didn’t have before. They no longer dive under brakes like they did and when asked will the rear still blow through the stroke again Brad answered “ If you blow that through the stroke and bottom it you have bigger problems then it bottoming”

I will update the thread as soon as I have the photos and information later this weekend I hope. I will pick the bike tomorrow arvo and test it on Saturday on Gavb’s duel sport ride
