Just thought I would say hello to everyone. New to this trail riding/adventure riding game and looking for rides, experiences, how to do’s and general information. So in my net wonderings I stumbled across this forum.

After years of road riding I stuggled to ride road bikes for any length of time, so I gravitated towards a nice narrow tall bike that would enable me to ride upright and give me plenty of leg room. After a few months I purchased a Tenere 1200. Had no idea what I was in for really. This bike opened up a new horizon for me where i was able to ride a lot more km and even get on the dirt, if but tentatively.
I soon caught the bug and started adding bits to the bike. Crash bars, bash plate, hand guards, ect, ect. I started to take dirt detours and even planned a big 4 day ride to Batemans Bay from Melbourne. To do an adventure riding course. Sadly that ended badly when on the second day I ran into a deer 60km south of Jindabyne coming down hard and braking my fibula.
After three months I was riding again but the experiance frightend me a bit. I find now I am itching to ride some adventures again, learn new things and hopfully meet new friends along the way.

So, if anyone is doing an easy big bore adventure dirt ride don’t mind me if I come and say hello, or say hello yourself and invite me on a ride.

    Cheers :)

    Welcome to OBT Tenrider,

You have found exactly the right site for all things adventure riding and especially Teneres.

There are plenty of rides going all the time and TB(Trailboss) knows the Tens inside out and also how to set them up extremely well.

Good to see you are back on the bike after your incident with the Deer,i have had the same experience hitting a roo at speed.

Keep an eye out for upcoming rides.

Catch you on the trails sometime.

    Cheers Marty
