AnonymousI hope your ankle heals up soon RC Honda.
Me and Matt thought you were funny. On the Saturday ride you were being pretty cautious in the morning and taking it pretty easy. Then, whilst sat on a corner i the afternoon we heard the roar of bike on the gas coming round the corner, we both looked at each other and said and ‘whiterocket’ (or ‘Dubbo’ as Matt called him all weekend ), but then a flash later you flew round the corner and off up the hill:ohmy:
We both said shit that was Honda!!!

AnonymousThe weekend was far too long, so many things happened and I also don’t know the names of half the places we went to so I’ve decided to do a list of memorable moments instead.
I’ll try and put them in some form of chronological order, but don’t hold me to it:
Thursday
Being super busy at work (for once) and having Matt/TB on the phone several times discussing plans. I should have just got them to speak to each other!
Fitting both mine and Matt’s KTM450’s on my 6 x 4 box trailer.
Arriving at Mick’s and TB taking the piss out of my choice of footwear
Doing a wheelie down a country road out of Wauchope and being followed by off duty copper who give me what for!
The beef rolls with gravy Mick and his wife knocked up for us.
The laughs we had sat in Mick’s shedFriday
Mick getting up 4 hours before the start of the ride
The boys turning up on the bikes and us all heading out from Mick’s
Getting roosted by Mick, KTM01 and TB following the lead pack up the gravel road
Seeing Ellenborough Falls and Matt’s chat up technique on a woman who couldn’t speak any English
The single/twin tracks we did in the bush in the arvo, loved them and had a ball on the downhill erosion mounds.
Beers at the BreckenRidge farmstay and chatting with the boys staying there.
Getting on the courtesy bus to go the RSL for dinner and the poor woman who drove us there.
The amount of stunning you ladies at the RSL
Matt’s attempt at cracking onto the Chef (it was at least a woman).
Getting back on the courtesy bus to take us back to the farmstay.Saturday
The early start and all the boys arriving for the ride, it’s was good to see new and familiar faces.
Collecting the money for the ride and realising there was going to be 29 riders!
Everyone getting kitted up and the laugh we all have with the speech at the start of the ride.
Seeing at 29 riders fire their respective machines up and all ride out single file.
Getting stuck in the ST at the start of the ride. That’s what 29 riders in loose slippy ST will do!
The awesome trails and fun that ensued in the morning.
Me and Matt doing burnouts, donuts and generally hooning around in the firetrail whilst waiting on our corner (one the guys drowned their bike and we had an hour or so wait).
Matt’s 3 funny crashes for the day, I can’t remember laughing so hard in years as I did for the first one. I couldn’t ride when we got going for all the tears in my eyes.
The lunch stop by the river and the much needed sarnie and ice cold can of coke.
Having an absolute ball all afternoon in the trails. Some of the sweetest I’ve ridden.
Seeing the group of 6 riders lead by whiterocket hauling arse whilst sat on my corner. They were all trying to overtake each other on a trail about 3.5m wide, round a long sweeping uphill corner at about 60-70 clicks
The beers and the food when we got back to the farmstay – how good were they!?
The sit down and bullshit talk with all the boys over a few beers and the company that night at the farmstay, it was a good laugh.
Oh, seeing Ash unleashed form sweep duties in the morning. That boy can haul ass!Sunday
The aches and pains when getting up at 6:30am again!
Actually having breakfast. A lesson learned from the day before
Starting to feel okay as the ride got going and thinking I’ll make the 3rd day of riding without too many issues.
Realising I couldn’t have been more wrong thinking I’d make the day without any issues!!
The tight, tight single trail Ray and his merry men put us through for a 3rd day ride!
The massive tree in the middle of the jungle style forest we were riding in.
Highsiding in front of Matt and Ollie.
Binning it over the logs in front of Crash, him stopping to help me and then had issues getting his bike going again
Crash riding over a slippery, angled fallen tree followed by me and Matt only top realise there was a way around!
Holeshot turning up soaking wet at the quarry after an ‘incident’ with a big bog hole
Crash locking bars with me whilst I was riding one handed about 200m from the end of the ride on the tar!
Watching Merriman, Hollis and Grabbo and the AORC Round 2.
Seeing Geoff Ballard’s smooth and silky mullet in real life.
The last little ride home and having a quick go on Ollie’s Gas Gas 300 which felt really nice to ride.
Packing all our stuff up and heading home, feeling totally buggered but having had an awesome weekend.
Driving side by side with Holeshot revving the freckle out of his ute up the hills
Sleeping in my own bed dreaming about the weeknds adventuresMassive thanks to RiderX, Mick and the team of helpers. I will be giving you both double karma as soon as the site lets me:)
Cheers for an awesome time boys, everything was organised perfectly and I’ll definately be back again soon.

March 11, 2009 at 9:11 am #125177I was riding that fast on Saturday no one could even see me:laugh:
No seriously it sounded like it was a great ride I’m sorry I missed it
March 11, 2009 at 9:33 am #125487“LUSH”
That’s the adjective for last weekend!
The trails were excellent. It was great to go riding somewhere that had bugger all sandstone ripping your tyres to peices. Although young Jason managed to turn a rock into a guided missile from the back wheel of his throaty sounding WR that hit the lexcen cover over my headlight that hard…it STILL smashed the glass!!! that’s riding…great stuff.
Great dueling and co-operation by all.
It was good to play with the S12 on the rear all weekend and have it incur next to zero wear!
Big thanks to X for all his efforts, to Mick for his hospitality and Taxi services, TB for his transportation, Moose………..for being Moose and everyone else for their companionship, courteousy and patience on the trails (nearly everyone).
I nearly tied the XR in a knot going in and out of that creek on Sunday in that tight stuff…. but then got to straighten it back out on that last straight on the way home just before the farmstay.
Thanks everyone
Crash
