AnonymousSo after securing the little KTM200 earlier today we decided it was time for Tyne first bike lesson.
We arrived at our private test track and I started to explain away the basics. I thought it could be dark by the time anything decent happened given that Tyne was asking where the throttle was to start with

Was I wrong though! After no more than 45 minutes of messing around Tyne was pulling away by herself, changing gears (up to 3rd), braking with both brakes and even managed a few turns too. She also rode about 700m away from me swapping sides of the trail to avoid the thich sand and in doing so rode over some light whoops
A rock did eventually bring her undone, typically nowhere near where I was standing but by the time I had got there ahe had already picked the bike up and was waiting for me before starting again.
How’s that for a first ride? Maybe we should just skip the 200 all together

August 23, 2009 at 10:24 pm #149719Nice work Moto in bringing a new rider to the fold! Nice work also Tyne in being brave and keen to have a ride! Very impressed!! Excellent choice of bike for a first too really, light, not intimidating but enough poke to get you to a much higher level of skill!
