Time to Sell me KLX400

Going to sell me KLX400 as I cann’t keep up to the young blokes and takes me too long to get over the ride.
2003 model, just serviced, (this bike is overserviced as it gets the full treatmant every 300km) regoed, new tyres, chain and sprockets.
Front and rear wheel bearings, fork seals and gaters done 4 months ago.
Be happy to get $3800

You’ll have to get an ADV bike or convert the KLX to ADV mode

Just ride with us old farts and enjoy the ride and the scenery, plus the ales at the end of it. :whistle:

You know the bike, add some mods to suit your change in how you use it.

Hell, I’m 57 and just getting back in to trail riding [not scrambles or motocrossing] and thoroughly enjoying it. 👿

In the process of doing that as I pick up a new kawasaki KLR650 today and need to sell this one so I can buy exhaust, gear etc. So come on someone help me out. Mallee

Hey Mallee, Great to see your have turned to the dark side…. and gone the Adventure approach. The whole freedom of riding for longer, camping, and drinking around a fire with mates and exploring …. and still be in one piece is a plus…

No… but I’m recruiting…. I am actually toying with the idea of doing the APC next year. I am currently working though some work options and will decide soon (hopefully).

The Tenere is as ready as it will ever be (apart from full knoblies) so I have no excuses..

Picked up the KLR650 today.
Rode it home picked up my daughter and down into the creek then out towards Yawal 👿
Got 40k’s on it and have to give it a wash already, warranty claim:huh: :huh:

Hey Mallee,

Congrats on the bike…. Most of the OBT Adv riders are heading to Cameron’s Corner that weekend but I’m in for Wyangla Dam.

If you are doing it and need somewhere to crash Friday night, I have a spare room if you want. It will take us about 25mins to get to the start point on Saturday. The offer is there…

Sounds like we need to get that new bike of yours DIRTY……..
