AnonymousIf anyone is interested in joining us, DanD and I are riding from our place to Wisemans Ferry this Saturday, January 9th, 2010.
It is a road ride and everyone is welcome regardless of what they ride and yes that includes scooters if you are that way inclined.
We will be leaving from our house at around 8:30am and we will be making a couple of stops along the way (DanD smokes remember).
We will be going via:
Freemans Waterhole
Wyee Road Morriset
Hue Hue Road Alison
Yarramalong Road
Kulnurra
Bloodtree Rd
Wisemans FerryIt is a grade 1 trip as it should be all bitumen. It will not be a race to get there either.
The trip is roughly 145kms one way and if fuel is a problem we should be able to stop at Kulnurra and top up (TB is there fuel at Kulnurra?I think there is). Theres also fuel at Wisemans.
We will then have lunch at Wisemans Pub.
The return trip can either be the same way or if we have enough time we could do the trip out through Bucketty, Laguna, Wollombi. This was my first choice but it added about 45 minutes to the trip or 1.5 hours if we did it both ways. But this can be decided on the day.
Also if the weather is crappy we won’t be going but the forecast is for a fine day.
Just let me know if you are interested in either coming along with us, joining us along the way or meeting us for lunch at Wisemans pub.

If you are down that way the run home via Wollombi & Sandy Creek Rd is a must. Nice stretch of road between Kulnura and Laguna. Keep an eye out for Lemming Corner though! :silly:

Yes Andrew we did Sandy Creek Rd on News Year Day. The first 2 bends scared the shit out of me because I went in way too fast but after that it was all good.
I think it is a good idea though to do the run back through Laguna because then we could either stop at the ‘Wine Bar’ for a drink or Wollombi pub for a drink.
