Something that should have been mentioned in the Wauchope to Coopernook ride report, was that one of the WR450’s stripped a sprocket and there was no way it was gunna make it to Harrington.
What do you do at 12 noon on a Saturday in a country town when your Yamaha has stripped a sprocket?? You go to the only bike shop in town that happens to be a Suzuki dealer and hope to god, that they might, on the off chance stock something to fit the WR.
Sure as anything, they happened to have what the boys needed and helped fit the chain and sprockets, way after they would normally have been closed for the weekend.
This isn’t the first time Mud and Tar have saved the day for an Old Bull, they had sprockets for White Rocket’s Kato530 and helped Ollie out with a cable for his Husky.
Great service from a small town bike shop I say. Thanks to Rod and Tracey and their team.
Be sure to support your local shop, as I am sure you wont get a sprocket off the internet there and then when you desperately need one that day.
Next time you are in Mud and Tar be sure to let them know you are an Old Bull and they will definately look after you.
    Cheers
    Mick
