Another reason to get boots with internal booties,a little bit more protection ;)

    ?

can you buy extra booties for them incase of them getting wet or wearing out?

or can you still wear them without the booties…. in emergencys like

if so, how much are spare ones  the same price as the boots??

This pic was in ADB in the letters section. This dude spent some time in hospital. Another story in the same section tells of a stick going through a guys pants and bouncing off his knee guard!
The stick in the boot story hints of boot design that does not have folds that can allow a stick to go under and through into your foot. Must be the season for it!

Here is Crashes boot from an ride about 2 years back at Capertee. He rode 60 clicks out to the hospital with Chicken after we grouped back up. Tough Bastard

Hi, I got a stick through my Tech 6 boots up on a ride at Gingers creek early last year. Ripped a small hole in them about a third of the way up on the outside. Didnt loose any blood but the stick was attached to a fair sized branch and it pulled my leg off the peg and right back around behind the rear guard. Nearly dislocated my knee. The strange thing was that the exact same thing happened again at Yellow Mountain again last year.
Some of those injuries and blood look a bit …….. ah cant look at that.

So I’m guessing it doesnt matter what boot you have, shit can happen, but get the best you can afford.

On a recent cells ride I too got a stick, branch,no wait,,log stuck throught he top of my boot, I was fine once the crying stopped and the boys wiped away my tear, i thought i was going for a trip in the westpac helicopter to the nearest hospital so a german specialist could surgically remove the log from my foot. When I got Damus to pull the [strike]stick[/strike], log out of my boot  ,I rode at warp speed back to camp (about 5 ks) because i knew the chopper could land there easier. ;) When I hit camp I told everyone to brace them selves and look away if they had weak stomaches when I took off the boot, I had a small scratch on the top of my foot, didnt even bloody well bleed :( I let out a sy of relief and then comenced to tell everyone that would listen how bloody tough I was.
I feel your pain jak mate,, I`m there for ya mate. ;)

    Boony :X
