Not there yet but what an awesome day with some late arvo dramas…more to be revealed later.

Strucky has been invited as guest of honor at the unveiling of a 7m high emu just out of town. With my connections I have managed to snaffle a comfy place to stay with the unofficial mayor of Lightning Ridge.

Can’t wait for a shower and a few more beers back at the mayors palace.

Nope,,, I just spoke to them both on the phone and it is all happening at a Truckstop outside Lighning Ridge, firewroks, free beer and all :laugh:

They have a couple of cracker stories to reveal later,,,

I can tell you that they had better behave tonite if possible (even if the beer is free) `cause they have some 660klms to cover tomorrow to get th Thargominda via Bourke,,,
Perhaps the wildlife experiences they had today will spur them on to make an early start tomorrow to avoid riding in the dark into Thargo ????? :whistle:
